"By my calculations, a Hayabusa, which is a superbly aerodynamic motorcycle, would need 735hp to go 300 and 1740hp to go 400." My guess is they don't even consider aerodynamics. They probably just consider gearing, wheel diameter and maximum RPM. The thing's probably never been over 10 MPH. |

LSR dudes, I read the article and they said it had 4 wheels. That would remove it form the motorcycle classes at every sanctioning body that I am aware of?? Or did I miss something in this discussion?? Pammy, congrats to you and wes on the new tool/toy!! Aaron, I will be out in Colorado Springs the first part of June and was interested in where the international group you had managed to find those GS BMW motorcycles?? Paul |

OMG - You have GOT to be kidding me... I can't believe someone actually said that! "Yes, neglecting some extremely basic thermodynamics, we figure it's possible to build a spacecraft made of ice to fly through the sun." Someone has GOT to get canned for that statement... -Saro |

Paul- It would also mean every aspect of the vehicle in a legal sense would be automotive. 2 or 3 wheels = bike. 4 wheels = car. Will it pass crash tests? Can you stick an (effective) airbag on there? Seatbelt? Smog? It seems that thing is on its way from being a cool / outlandish concept to a grand display of ridicule. They either need to re-write all the vehicle laws or do some explaining quick. -Saro PS - maybe it's time for a quick board topic... |

An S3 does not need an undertail so it is quite easy to make your own plate holder. The signal lights can continue to be bolted to the bracket. The trick is that you have use a strong piece of sheet because you have to bend it over about 200 degrees. I had one on my S3. All you need to do is take the standard Storz plate and add about 6 inches to the top end and make that part wide enough to bolt to the bolts on the seat frame. Then you bolt it up with the tail section off and bend it down into place. Looks very trick if done right and it cost about $5 |

That's a pretty wild looking S1 Jack. Maybe a projector beam above the headlights would help fill the gap below the flyscreen?? Watch out for flying bicycles! Greg;-) |

It's been a while since I logged on. Sheesh! The winter has everyone at each other's throats, even if the topics are constructive. Meanwhile, the Aussies are enjoying their summer I am finally settled in my new apartment in Pusan, Korea with an interesting view of the sea of Japan. Very lively. Haven't been here long enough to know if this is normal. This coming weekend, I'll start exploring my new habitat. Already found a rugby club. I'd join if I were in shape enough to keep up. The night life is plentiful and the native ladies are either enamoured with my long hair or repulsed by it. Can't tell but at least they're looking. I am relieved to be somewhere new for a change but am already in my worry wart routine. What's going on with everything I left behind and will I be able to keep a handle on it? I hope so. I also am apprehensive of the project I am working on in light of the current situation here. Worry, worry, worry... I miss a lot of things but especially some real close relationships I just severed. 2002 has been the worst year for me and 2003 looks similar. Finding BWB helped me tremendously tho and I had some fun. I have a feeling I'll be making major changes in my life while in Korea so I can return to the USA on the right foot and in sound mind. Gotta work on myself before I can work on others. My luck has to get better. I hope everyone else has good fortune this year and beyond. Til I return Bob |

Bob, Hope it gets better. Pusan can be a fun place and the Korean women make great dates but don't marry one!! Stay away from the Russian hookers in Pusan. When you get back to TX look me up in SA. Dan |

Hey all, I need a little help. I'm looking for a clean B.R.A.G. logo in digital format. Everything I've found so far won't hold up to even business card size. Please just e-mail it to me. Thanks Neil S. |

Thats Dynodaves with the 4 valve heads. I asked about the mistmatched cleaners before & for the life of me I cant remember the reason now. The windscreen looks odd with the dual headlights, but thats an easy fix. |

Tripper, Dynodave's is a 'work in progress'...he is currently running one 44mm and one 40 mm carb, the second 44mm, and the second Force (K&N) air filter are on order. He also said the S-1 fly shield is being replaced by the new Lightning unit to go with the dual headlights. By the way, he mentioned that the dual headkight unit are a screaming deal from the Buel dealer, something like $55 complete..... Mickey |
