off the remapping subject...i got my bike this past march and im not sure how long it has been sitting with a full frame of gas before i got it, i can only assume it has been a while. does anyone have any opinions on fuel injector cleaners or whether i should use it or not. or any thing i should do to the fuel system in prep before riding it. it is my first fuel injected bike normally i would clean the carb if i knew gas had been sitting. |

Ride it, wussbag. If it runs like poo, put new gas when empty. If it still runs like poo, change plugs. |

Well, I dont need the 5v power, so, I dont have to worry about building the power supply.
From what I can see, KL1 and KL3 are used on the PDA, vice KL2 and KL4... which, in theory, means a dongle would work(If I can find one)...

Getrad- Let Eric ride it. After that, it'll definitely "run like poo," but at least you'll know why.
Chase- Wrong. You'll need power to convert the RS232 signal to TTL, as well as build a circuit that does so. Read previous ECMSpy.com linky in total.

It's a different setup for the laptop; the conversion is done by a chip (or something) in the USB cable itself (the one you'll have to source). As for the Palm, there's something more that has to be done to the signal, and I aint too clear on it. That's why I went with a laptop. I had some BadWeb dude build me a Palm cable, but he said the Palm I got offa eBay had a dead Xmit channel, so I said screw it.
I have no more answers. You're on your own. Go and read some stuff. |

 THis is why i HATE modifications.
I replaced my old Interstate battery with,what i thought was a more robust Yuasa
on the Duc. It refuses to turn over.....goes...RUH.....Ruh.........ruh.
actually DID start once.
I think i need to TOSS the new battery and spend the big bucks on a dry cell or SpeedCell/w MORE cranking AMPS.
Did i mention...
Well...it started,after substituting a straight 1 amp charger from the Battery tender.Somethings wrong
