NO, I rode to work. The bike won't melt, you won't melt, get out there and ride. I need the rain to was all the salt and cinders off my Uly anyway. That reminds me, gotta clean my shield before I get outside. |

i don't mind rideing in the rain, i am scared to ride in the rain at 5:00pm on weekdays. Who was with the cops at rt4 and dowerhouse (south of suitland pkwy) it was a uly with piaa lights and looked like they were touring through the area. |

Alright, I'll give you that one. I forget about traffic since I get to commute the opposite direction. |

I dunno about the cops in Suitland, but hopefully within a week or so here in Frederick we'll have a white XP out on demo patrol Response kit is here, just need to get it installed and find someone on motor patrol who's not a Napoleon stunt double, LOL. |

Now the real question is, will they look the other way for their fellow Uly riders? |

Bryce, the Triumph Triple is still safe and sound last time I checked on it. Like I said, it's a good thing you took the rear wheel and key with you, or I would have taken it to work today. |

thanks tony. so bobs BMW does demo rides every day... i went in there yesterday looking at jackets and saw some hypers i really really want to demo... here is my list of want to rides with them: F 650 GS, HP2 Megamoto and HP2 sport, and finally maybe the G650 Xcountry. really really want to demo the HP2 bikes... so if any one wants to ride up to the bimmer dealership and demo some bikes that would be fun... haha a bunch of guys who would never leave their bikes demo riding one of the more expensive bikes on the road... laughable!! does ducati or ktm have a place to demo bikes around here? id like to demo their hypers also.. Well, the XP is done and ready to go to a departmental demo. That siren is L-O-U-D!!! We're having a demo day tomorrow, 4/11/09, if anyone wants to come by. Mostly HD (since we have a seperate day next month for the Buells), but we've also got a UlyX and an 08 1125R in the demo fleet (just to PROVE an '08 1125 with '09 software works FINE). Now, all we need is non-wet-weather. Cross your fingers and come on by Oh, and we do have a *90 mile* '07 BMW G650XMoto that was traded in...just in case anyone wants to ride it. |

Didn't miss anything...crappy weather, no demos Speaking of rainy weather - anyone have experience with Joe Rocket Sonic boots? My tootsies were *soaked* today, apparently my gore-tex isn't all that waterproof anymore. I like the look of the Sonics and will try some on later this week, but how ski-boot-y are they? Can you wear them as shoes during the day, or are they strictly 'on the bike' footwear? |

No experience with the JR Sonics, but I do have a pair of the Oxtar Airtech XCR and love them. I have made it through a few days at work and forgotten to change into my regular boots. That being said, they make a really crappy cold weather boot because they breath so well, but they are waterproof. Last trip down to Deal's Gap, I got stuck riding in the rain for 3 hours, and the only thing I had that was still dry were my feet. |

Rat, I have a pair of Sonics. Very comfortable, but not sure about riding the Uly. Mine cracked across the top of the ankle within the first year. They were replaced under warranty with no problems. I was wearing them every day, cold, warm, dry and wet. The replacements I haven't worn yet. Waiting for warm weather so maybe some more flexibility across the top when on the bike. They were comfortable enough to wear all day, just a little stiff like ski boots. But I chose to change into street shoes for work, donning the Sonics for demo rides. |

Saturday, 18 April I put together a short 150 mile ride from Ft Washington HD to Annapolis. It's mostly back roads, I've got a gas stop at around 90 miles. I've done this ride several times last year and most liked it. Kick stands up at 11am. As of today, the weather looks good for Saturday. Anybody up for a ride? |

Paul, I'd like to do that ride, but if the weather is nice I'll be riding out to Leesburg Va to hangout with friends doing a mountain bike race, then camp over night. This time last year I was actually in good enough shape to do the 13 hour race. I guess I better start jumping on the peddle bike. |

Paul, Sorry, but I'll be heading the other direction to Winchester for a recall. At last meeting, I made a last minute trip to Ft. Wash and ran across Edgar. He might be interested in the Annapolis trip...give him a call. |

Damn.. I still need to give my baby a bath.. After last weekends fun on Summit Point Shenandoah - well, I seemed to have brought a good amount of WV back home with me.. That first half of the day in the rain seemed to have had a lot of muck washing onto the track and then sprayed up onto the bikes on track.. So, I'll need to skip this ride so I can get 'er clean before I take it out again, or I'm going to be a mess (yes, it's muddy from the top of the fairing down..) Anyone riding at NJMP on the 25/26th? I'll be there the 26th.. If you're interested in pitting together.. Maybe next time? |

Hey Brice! How ya been?! Good to see everyone coming out from under (the winter covers)! Well, heck, let me know I'm still averaging one track day a month, so there should be just about any month your willing.. as for on the streets.. well, sometime soon I'm sure I'll put out a street run.. Hope you're doing well and having a good time at it! |

Paul as usual ,put together an outstanding ride,non-stop twists and turns for about 4 that's right 4 hours straight. Absolute non stop no excuses fun. No washing involved. No pre marriage counseling. No recall before ride. No pedal pushing. Some of the best scenery ever on quite possibly the best riding day of the year. Everyone who missed out, I feel for you. Yesterday was why I put up with my wife, and it was worth it. And then we ate at five guys. |
