Please see Ed and Linda Young's post below...I plan on leaving from the Eureka QT at 10 and will ride back roads if possible...Bob This Saturday is the Second Saturday Get-Together at Rolla. The weather may be a little cool, but try to make it, even if you bring the car. It's always nice to get together whenever we can, just to visit. It has been suggested that we meet at the G & D Steakhouse, to check out another new place that has a reputation for having a good buffet and menu. It also has a large paved parking lot, and good seating. After comparing a few different places this winter, we can all decide which one we all may like the best, and go from there. (or we could just change places once in awhile, and put it on the list ahead of time, we're always open to suggestions). G & D is right on 63, and the directions to get there are: >From I-44 take 63 south (Steak & Shake exit, but turn south on 63), G & D's on the right, just after you pass K-Mart on the left. (you can see G & D from K-Mart). Coming in on 63 from the south, it's on the left, just before you get to K-Mart. If you can make it, you might send an email to the list, so we'll know how many may be there. Linda and I will try to get there a little early and have some tables together for us. If we all plan on being there around 11:30 to12 noon, we might beat the lunch crowd a little. Hope to see you there, Ed & Linda |

Tell me it's not true. No self respecting motorcycle rider would ride a bus to a m/c race! Just the thought of such a thing has me sick to my stomach.

Yea, and I know you're just dying to go on a 300 mile ride to a casino...But you're right, if I go and Shirley doesn't, I'm riding...If she goes, we'll have to make allowances...I put this on the HSTA list and so far no interest, but I did not mention riding down there... Anyone riding to Rolla tomorrow?... John, if you're planning on Rolla, why don't you come over today and take the Widder power connector off Pumpkin and attach it to your bike...I'll leave the Widder vest hanging in the hall closet...Call first but Shirl should be here most of the day... See Ya! Bob |

It looks like I may not have internet access starting Feb 1. SBC has done away with their calling plan I am using to access SBC/Yahoo. (its long distance to just about any place from here) So, if you dont hear from me after that date, Im still alive, just not paying almost $200 in long distance charges that they want. |

Hey John, I think it was you that mentioned using aluminum rivets in the race can. Are they anything special, or just regular stuff that can be had at the local hardware store? (still wishing for a frame..... ) |

Hey FRank... I used normal hardware store rivets...er...uh...I mean DAve's High Performance Racing Rivets at just $1.50 each...yeah that's the ticket. I think John suggested aluminum rivets to me after I replaced my race can packing the first time. They drill out much easier than the steel ones but hold just as well. DAve |

Frank, Nothing special, just regular. The aluminum will loosen up with time and miles but they will not elongate the holes of the can and are easily replaced if needed. 3/16" if I remember correctly. |

Josh, John, BOb.. Didn't all three of you go to the Metzeler Z4? I'm happy enough w/Dunlop D220s but I found a set of the Metzelers for $198 delivered. DAve |
