Noticed my engine case breather hose is weeping oil where it connects to the air box base plate. I put a ty-wrap around the hose at the connection, I'll put some miles on her and see if that does it. Bike is an 09 1125R. Anyone else seeing this? |

Check to see if the oil is over filled. |

Spec, the oil just touches the bottom of the stick when it's cold. It's almost at the full mark with a hot oil check. Do you think I should adjust the level down? My old XB12 liked to run in the middle of the marks. Is the 1125 the same? |

Sounds like your oil level is okay to me. |

Put 300 mi on the bike since ty-wraping the case breather to the airbox base plate. There was a slight oil mist around the hose connection area but not near as bad as it was before the ty-wrap. The foam filter in the base plate was slightly misted as well but did not contain enough oil to produce a drop when it was squeezed. This may be related to the pressurized air box not letting the oil mist be drawn in. |

One of the times I replaced my base plate I didn't get the breather snapped all the way up in it's socket. That's the only time my breather spewed. |
