Ok, so, this is the weekend. Saturday is looking good weather wise. Here’s what I think we’ll need. If anyone is willing to volunteer for something, please post up. 1. We’ll need an extra grill. The one supplied by the beach is puny and would only serve as a place to keep food warm in my opinion. I’ll bring my Kettle Grill; I figure we’d need at least one other. 2. We need someone who is good on a charcoal grill; we’ll take turns so that we can also enjoy the time with friends and family. Most real grill men have their own utensils so, bring your’s if you plan to help. 3. Coolers… you can never have too many coolers & ice. 4. Water bottles… I figure the folks showing up on bikes won’t have a place to pack drinks, so we’ll have water for the “community”. Feel free to hoard your soft drinks (lol) 5. Trash Bags. 6. Clean-up Crew willing to stay behind. I’ve got a couple of Frisbees, volley & soccer balls. Anyone who can bring a good leather football would be my hero! (All I have is this Nurf… and it sucks!) Michelle and I will get the burgers, hot dogs, buns, paper products, condiments, charcoal, sides like baked beans and coleslaw and plastic utensils. If you plan to bring something else to cook on the grill, I say feel free to make sure that people know it’s yours and not for the community. I think we should plan to have quite a few folks riding through, but with that amount of people it will be hard to discern who’s a biker, family of a biker or friends of a biker. So there could be folks just walking up wondering what’s going on. So, the food will be there until it’s gone. (I’ll likely put up a “donations” jar that way if we need to run out for something, the $$ can come from that) Did I forget anything? If so, please let me know. Who knows, if we’re lucky, the City will come and ask us to make this an annual thing!!! (Or give me a fine.)

Big lots on east little creek is having a sale on water, 35 16.9 oz bottles for like 5 bucks. Still unsure if I am going to make it, we pick up a class on Tuesday and we open up on Saturdays for remedial for the slower ones. You all would not believe how dumb some pilots are, its like really you guys fly airplanes/fighter jets for a living? Jimmy |

I will more than likely have the lincoln, since I will be a single parent for the day. I can bring my grill as back-up and a cooler. I have a bunch of 50 gallon bags and can bring those. I will also bring my utensils and stuff. I will bring what I can for kids. |

I'll bring an extra table, and the wife's bringing a pasta salad. Do we need extra chairs or anything? |

I think chairs are a necessity. I plan on bringing a couple of those cheap folding chairs that you take to soccer games and stuff so that I can have a dedicated seat of my own. If you don't bring a chair, I recommend at least bringing a blanket to sit on. |

Guys, we "technically" don't get the shelter until 1 pm so, if you need to bring stuff to my house, you can do so in the morning. That way you can ride your bike to the beach. If you don't know where I live, txt me for directions. (seven five three one two zero four) It's easy, just off of I664 in Hampton. Even if I'm not at the house Michelle will be. We can load your stuff up in the truck to take to the beach at 1. |

Thanks for everyone who's bringing grills and ice, I think we have enough already committed. (well, grills that is!!!) For the record, Cole slaw sitting on the table in near 80° weather is probably not a good idea. |

Cole Slaw in the 80 degree sun equals a "salad shooter" later in the day/evening. LOL |

for all the build-up and fliers, i expected a bigger turn-out. not that i'm complaining. just saying... i had a great time, and will be working on my frizbee skillz. so what say we have another 'hooligan hangout around the hibachi'? but i don't wanna wait til next april. we can keep this one 'by invitation only' so we don't have to put on too much. |
