new jardine exhaust and leaking at the head pipe, there wasnt any gaskets with the new kit was is supposed to put the stock one back on? | ||

Nope, no gaskets, just clamps and springs. Mine isn't leaking anywhere that I can tell. | ||

I was concerned with that on my D&D as well, and I even tried using high temp silicone and all it does is heat up, crack and flake off. You can see the leaks with a water bottle when it's cold. Just spray some water, start it and see where it's leaking. If it's not much I wouldn't worry to much. I called D&D and they didn't seem like it was a big issue either so long as the pipe sleeves were mating up flush and the mounting was secure. | ||

My guess would be is the pipe isn't inserted far enough over the header then. Mine slid far enough up over it that there wasn't a slit to even leak from and once tightened, nothing gets out except where it's supposed to. | ||

Also Try tightening up your clamps letting it warm up, cool down, and rotate the clamps 180 degrees and retighten and warm up again. Sometimes this helps the pipes to seal up. Helped on my D&D before I got rid of it. | ||

I think Buell recommends getting new (Torca) clamps with a muffler change... | ||

i bet its ur mid bike to muffler connecting., ur goin to want the muffler clamp to cover the radias of the cut out on the pipe. how could i say this better. they normally cut out 1/8 notches(5 or 6 notchs) from the pipe where the notches stop (goin from the mid pipe towards the mufflers) is were alot of times leaks ?is ur clamp over that part. | ||

I think its not leaking anymore after riding i loosend the clamps and turned them 90 degrees Thanks for the info |
