. . . though since I stole the original photo from Buell's web-site, I can't speak for them. . . . . . but if Erik gets pissed, you can blame it on me. |

I'd love to see a mythbusters on various motorcycle braking technologies... ABS, 6 pot calipers, ZTL, etc. Lots of other great motorcycle myths as well... some slam dunks like countersteering, and some more controversial like synthetic versus conventional, or even dyna beads. |

Those guys were here at the track doing a show about carts and Jaime came by here and yakked with Terry about tuning while I was in Bonneville last year. |

It's an '08. How about the myth that '08s, even with the '09 flash, hiccup and run like poop? I've proven that wrong, but nobody believes me.... Aw, nevermind. Hansen's tall, I'm tall....me likey |

I guess they'd be fun to read . . . Court, it depends on the location. I just watched the show on the DVR and loved the rocket sled. Nothing like an impact at 650+ mph. |

"Grant is to much of a weinie" - Ha Ha Ha... The more I think about that statement the more I agree. Grant seems more like a Honda Rebel 250 lover. Safe, reliable, simple, and probably controlled by servos and actuators. All he has to do is just sit there, work the joysticks, and let the bike take him to his destination! |

One thing that bugs me about the episode was that Jamie was talking about the two trucks hitting the car at 50mph, and compared it to hitting a wall at 100mph. How could Discovery let a huge common misconception like that fly? |

the combined speed of the two trucks is 100mph, so maybe thats what he was talking about |

quote:"both trucks were traveling at about 50mph when the impact occurred. Now that's equivalent to a single impact going into a solid wall at 100mph."
Even the Mythbusters forums are going nuts over it. |

Froggys right - its off because you have the mass of 2 trucks hitting an object. |

Sounds like they need to do an episode on Mythbusters to confirm/deny that "myth" |
