I meant that when asked for a phone number, I will blurt that out. One time when I was in Milwaukee for training, the bartender got a call wanting to know the number for another hotel in the city. He asked the people at the bar and I just rang out with 867-5309. He proceeded to tell the person on the phone that and then hung up. It was all I could do to keep from rolling on the floor laughing before he hung up. He figured out what I had done from my laughing, but you should have seen the shock on his face when the person called back saying that was the wrong number. |

We bought Carlee and Luke a Wii for their birthdays this month. Whatcha gonna get me for my birthday this month? Last years gift of "Here's a quarter, call someone who cares." didn't work out so well. I called 867-5309 and they hung up on me... MTB, A bar in Milwaukee?!?! You gotta be kidding me! "It has also been called "the nation's watering hole," having more bars per capita than any other large city in the country." Gotta LOVE it! Which prompted more research... BURP! 1313 |

I'll be heading north within a couple of hours. Looks like I'll be able to beat the rain. Might even scout around for a different place to stay a bit closer in once I get there. Kristi, I'll give you a call around 3:00 and let you know where we end up at. Hope to see you all tonight. Later... |

Sounds good Twig. I hope to be there by 5. It looks like Jim & Amanda and Mike and Renee are staying at the Volunteer Gap Inn. By google I think it was about 3 miles from Daddy's cabin. I've packed the C3 sign! |

I'm thinking ahead for once. Anybody up for the Big Kahuna races at VIR this year? Middle of August. It's near the end of the season, so it will be interesting to see what the standings are for Eslick around that time. 1313 |

We are home. It was great seeing everyone and getting to see all the sink holes around the mountain grass. I put just short of 1200 miles on the Uly since I headed out Wednesday. I am ready to go back tomorrow. I will post pictures later. |

Kristi - Amanda has not been able to find gear that fits her well. She was quite interested in your riding pants. Can you tell me what they are and where you got them? |

Nice pics Mike. Be sure to keep an eye out for a mountain grass trip. We have got to get you riding that bike so that the tires don't last so long. |

Jim - My pants are Tourmaster I got from www.newenough.com. I think they were around $130. They are actually mens. They fit Carlos as riding pants and me as overpants, so I just ordered a 2nd pair. The nice thing about newenough.com is that if it doesn't fit, they will take it back and refund your money. |

I want to thank the Suarez family for their hospitality and good eats last weekend, not to mention the great company. Plus, it was good to finally meet your other 2 kids. They're a good lookin' bunch. I'm sorry I wasn't able to stay to enjoy what sounds like a great Easter lunch...Mike told me all about it. It was fun riding with you all, if a bit chilly. But the roads were smooth and sweet, plus we had that jacuzzi to get rid of the chill afterwards! Lonesome Pine cabins on the parkway is a great place to stay. We've stayed there twice and will more than likely stay there again. Thanks again, and it was good to see you all and to meet Renee and Amanda. Patty |

Patty, Was good to see you and Twig even if just for B-fast. Agree, the Lonesome Pine cabins (276) 398-3332 look/sound most excellent, especially if they are converting to "biker friendly". Jerry and I will have to take a vacation there one of these days. Was good to meet Mike and Renee and see Carlos and Kristi. Denise |
