Marion, NC would be a cool place to go for a test ride. NICE roads north of there. |

Like a bunch of good ol' boys, Robbie doesn't do his own spelling thingy, so when the spell check lets him down, it ain't pretty. Cut the boy some slack, I say. May I translate? Hidden rear set = passenger seat hidden under rear seat cowl. race pcm = race exhaust can rejetted carb = race ecm Larger cam = got me on that one, but who knows: his local Harley dealer probably charged him good money for it. Anyway, looks like ol' Robbie just nailed the K+N air filter, didn't he?

I'm wondering 2 things: 1. Which cam did he replace? 2. why did he only replace *one*? |

I left NC 20 years ago because there were way too many of these clowns. This is not out of the ordinary. |

What does surprise me is that it does not have an "RV" cam, so he can get off the line quicker. |

I wonder if I'd be one of those clowns, seeing as how Marion is my hometown. |

Glitch, here is a test: Do you drive a camaro with primer, uncovered bondo on most of the fenders, and no hood? Are you convinced you are smarter than everyone in a specific different race? Do you have more than 3 t-shirts referencing how proud you are to be a redneck? Are you suspicious of any car with electronic ignition because it can't be fixed on the side of the road like a set of points? If you passed this test, yes, you are one of those clowns, and I'm glad I moved away from you. |

I don't know if I passed or not. How's it scored? I guess I should have remembered the for my post above. WRT NC being full of rednecks, I've found they're everywhere, especially in Colorado.

Oh and by the way, there is a good reason I didn't want to raise my boys in Marion. |

What's depressing is that he lives near one of the best riding areas in the country without a single straight flat road to be found, and he's got 12,000 miles on an '03. |

I know! That whole area is where I leaned to ride. Buck Creek is one hell of a ride, as is Linville, Spruce Pine, actually I can't think of a bad run, outside of town that is. |

Growing up I had a GTO with a hood, and only one redneck t-shirt. Most of my community considered me a yuppie. |

BTW- I'm not counting all of my Lynyrd Skynyrd shirts in the redneck category. |

I'm sure by some's standards I'm just a stupid hillbilly. But I'm still a proud Appalachian-American. |

+1 to that, and to the south-east not being close to having a monopoly on rednecks. Hell, this guy is probably a transplanted Yankee. |

I always liked the NC mountains. Spent a bit of time partying in Boon in the late 80's. Drank shine from the gas station. |

The Mast General Store in Valle Crusis? I love Valle Crusis! It's east of Beech Mountain, west of Boone. God's country. |
