If you are wanting to show protest to the idiots in D.C. and join the "Tea Party" mailing / e-mailing, now is the time!
Here is a copy of what I`m sending. It`s short, simple and to the point. If you`d like feel free to copy it and send it. If you don`t like it make the time and at least send something of your own! There are a lot of online resources available where you can find mailing and e-mail addresses of our officials.
If you have the time try to attend a "Tea Party" in person too on the 15th! Show our elected officials that you are pissed.
Mr Mrs Madame
This letter is meant to remind you of what the founding fathers of our once great country threw the original tea party for!
They were pissed off at the government over tyranny, massive government, massive taxation with crappy representation, etc...
That flag behind the teabag should remind us all of what was sacrificed to free our people from the same types of oppression that the current Obama administration is throwing on us, our children, their children, and possibly the next generation!
Obama, Pelosi, Geithner, & the majority of the House and Senate, you seem to have no clue what you are doing! You all have committed to spend more money in 6 WEEKS than our country has ever spent from July 4th, 1776 to January 21st 2009!! In case you haven't checked, we don't have the money to spend and most of the crap that you plan to spend it on is so ridiculous that you should shamefully resign for even proposing it not to mention voting for it.
Please stop the madness in D.C. and start doing what you know is financially and morally right. It is really not that hard to figure out!
Yeah... I'm not real happy with things in Washington, but you've got some facts mixed up, and the language you use makes it a little hard to take you seriously...
Monarchy, that's why we had the revolution man! Unrelated at all to...
Socialism, that's why we are going to need a revolution man!
( socialism as known today is only about a century old. It was tried before that, see Plymouth Mass. but didn't work then, doesn't work now. Think it does? figure this out, how could Europe pay for social programs if they did not have the U.S. covering their backs against the USSR so they did not have to have effective military's? Not a chance.
LOL! Maybe you should stop the madness in your own head first. Just because you saw Glenn Beck crying doesn't mean you should emulate. Figure things out for yourself first, then act.
Ok I admit my comparison to socialism isn't quite correct but socialism as we know it didn't exist back then. You have to admit there are some very strong similarities though. You also have to admit that this crap is happening and it needs to be stoped!
The madness is all around us right now and not just in my head. We need to take control and make our government wake up and realize that they are being fiscally irresponsible and immoral because they don't seem to have a clue.
"Ok I admit my comparison to socialism isn't quite correct but socialism as we know it didn't exist back then. You have to admit there are some very strong similarities though."
Uh...
No, not really.
(Is this all based on that bogus "tea party" email forward that went around before?)
I will be attending the local "Tea Party". In TN, we have protested in order to prevent the passage of a state income tax. We are protesting for two reasons.
First, we hope there will be some measure of press given to our national representatives that we are watching and we will remember.
Second, we hope that our local state representatives see us and remember that we are STILL watching them.
Nothing makes a politician's sphincter slam shut harder than the sight of large crowds of voters with torches and pitch forks.
Tea party = uesless protest. Offering no alternative, just complaining. It will get no one anywhere. If all the folks planning to attend these were attending Fair Tax rallies instead (A real alternative, researched and proven) it might get more serious attention.
I predict no national news coverage except Fox, minimal local coverage, die with a whimper (unfortunately)

I too will be attending a Tea party here over an annexation by Wilmington NC of the area south of town, the city has wasted vast amounts of tax money meant for sewer improvments on other things, they annexed the area where I used to live they never provided any usefull additional services just collected taxes
The Tea party is tonight here, I wish all who decide to attend one luck, the elected officials in washington and many state houses seem to have forgotten why they are there and who they are to serve.
I suggest reading the US constitution its an interesting and enlightening experience. pay particular attention to the ORIGINAL writing we have moved well away from the founding fathers intent IMO
In the interim . . .while you guys are partying . . . I'm doing something about it.
The recent attempt my the New York Board of Elections to NOT COUNT MILITARY ABSENTEE VOTES was unbelievable. Heck, we even got Nancy Pelosi in here trying to prevent counting them.
You can read about it HERE and I went to Tedisco's website and donated to the fund to try to protect the ballots. He sent two folks last week to a polling place to watch the ballots and they were met by 10 Acorn folks.
I can have a package shipped from the other side of the planet overnight. Their excuse for not counting the absentee votes is absolute shit.
I look forward to the day someone strings up that self-righteous, power-drunk nutjob Pelosi. She's been begging for it with some of the stunts she's pulled.
"To protect and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic" .... funny how the elected government has become the enemy. Not funny ha ha, but funny odd, peculiar, tragic
