Carlos, I have plans to ride up Friday am. Pat will drive up Sat. I already have a room reserved for two nights at Lakeview. Been awhile since we've been out of town. MTB, if you happen to roll through G'boro before noon next Friday, let me know if you want to meet up. |

mtb - Do you know if there is an updated voltage regulator for 06 Ulys that does away with the 77 connector? |

It has updated terminals/connectors that is supposed to solve the problem. Will you and Amanda be coming up for Mountain Grass? |

Thanks Mike, you've got mail. I'm going to go post in the RP parts thread. I want one of those regulators. I saw froggy talking about this stuff yesterday. I can't tell if there is a separate connector I need to order or if it all comes in one package. Do you know? |

Jlnance- I think we passed you headed south on 210 in Angier this morning. I would have flipped a U-ie and chased you down but the wife isn't up for it just yet. She was on the green ninja 250 (aka Evinrude) and I was on the e-glide. Hope you had a good ride....what a perfect day! |

The only time I've ever dropped the Uly was at VegasBueller's Daytona 200 party. Until today that is. I left Michael's this morning, and attempted to do a U-turn around the median. That's a difficult maneuver with a passenger on the back, and it didn't work out. I'm not sure exactly why not, I don't remember going down, just being down. I hit the kill switch and asked Amanda if she was ok, and she said she was. I picked up the Uly (Adrenalin is a wonderful thing.) It didn't want to start, so I rolled it over to a filling station parking lot. That's when Amanda hobbled up and reported that she couldn't walk. I'd seen Sportymark at Michaels, and called him on the phone. He came over, assessed the situation, and left to get his car. He came back and we loaded Amanda, I got the bike started (it has a shorter clutch lever now) and we came back to Raleigh. We spent the afternoon in the ER getting X-rays, which revel that nothing is broken. She should be fine in a few days. A big thanks to Mark for the ride, and to Mike & Renee for hanging out at the hospital for a little while. The bike crashed well. It needs a new clutch lever. I'll replace the turn signal and flyscreen too for cosmetic reasons. The left bag is a little rashed, but I'll just live with that. |

Jim - so sorry to hear that. Glad Amanda didn't break anything. I hope she's feeling better soon. It's nice having friends around when you most need them. |

(it has a shorter clutch lever now) I have a few of those. Jim, I can not mean this more, it's always a good ride if you can walk away, even if you hobble a bit. I am glad no one was badly hurt. Amanda, take care of yourself. |

I almost 4got, you guys told me the uly was a wheelie monster, well u were right , igot home in sept and got to ride it 4 the first time, and i gotta admit , i was impressed!, ive had a few other pretty strong bikes b4 but none quite as wheelie prone as the uly , there was one time i got a lil friskey in 2nd gear and almost brought it over on myself, hahah , what a wake up! , on a more serious note: Jnance, im sorry to hear about your spill , i hope all is well amanda , just remember , you can always tell apart the riders that have gone down from the ones who are going down , worse things have happened and im glad noone was seriously hurt , i only hope that a lil fall dosent leave a bad impression on her, and she still enjoys oyr sport as much as b4 it happened , ill keep all you guys in my prayers , latter!} |

Glad nothing was broken Amanda. I went to put the bolt on the sidestand last night and something didn't seem right. It was holding, so I left it like that and planned on going straight to work with it this morning. When I took it off the stand, the stand fell off. I barely managed to pick the stand off the ground and stuff in my bag. I have a new stand kit on order and it should be here tomorrow so I can cut mountain grass the weekend. Welcome to BWB, Datallone. I look forward to riding with you again soon. |

Carlos (and everyone else with impending MGF - Mountain Grass Fever), watch the weather closely, my brother - despite yesterday's sublime gorgeousness, they're calling for one to two inches of snow up here tonight (grumble, grumble, grumble...) Amanda and Nance, what everyone else has said. Datallone, welcome. FB&D |

Thanks for the well wishes everybody. My foot keeps me from getting around much, but as soon as I can walk again I'll be back on the bike. It takes more than a little fall to keep me away! |

Favorite Rides (Roads and Routes): Mountains near Fancy Gap on the back of a certain someone's Firebolt screaming with delight all the way. Nice. |

Etowah is over west of Hendersonville. So from Raleigh, and points east, you'll be spending a lot of time on I-40. However, I-40 wont' take you to it I-40, south on I-26, then catch NC64 and you're golden. Sorry to hear about the biff Jim. Heal quick Amanda. |

Jerry - No worries, I'll be there to straighten out the weather. (As I sit at home in a down pour with tornado warnings all around.) I am delaying my trip one day. Instead of heading up Tuesday, I'll be up Wednesday. (Message edited by M2nc on April 06, 2009) |

For those headed North this week: The Buell Demo truck will be in Roanoke Wed-Thursday. FB&D know where the dealer is. They will also have demo's in Christiansburg Fri and Saturday. I might just know a few roads this way that can fix those flat spots. And watch out for the LEO. They were out in force this weekend. I know of two riders who got nabbed and were granted zero leniency. Myself, I'm a law abiding rider and wouldn't give them the chance to fine me. I did that twice last year and it was less than enjoyable. NUTS |

Datallone - welcome to C3! Looking forward to meeting you this weekend. Gotta love the mountains in the spring...rain in Suches and snow in VA! The 50 is already in Daddy's truck ready to head north. SNOW, BE GONE! |
