OK, here's the real deal for me and the whole sportbike thing; It's the most alive I get It's with the best people I know ...wrote a song about it, wana hear it, here it goes I once had a little mouse who tried to keep me in the house who no matter what I had to say always tries to run away. Why should I stay and wait to fall (I won't engage her in a brawl) I sometimes won't engage at all... I may have to leave my mouse and go and find another house where I can do what I need to and say goodbye to what I knew would, one day kill me dead and good. I'd rather go and ride my bike and be with the people that I like to hang it out with, to live a life that's full and crazy, that's loose and tight... The only time I feel that right is when I just get off my bike |

Damn Jimmy! That is one sweet ride! If this sucky economy ever swings back in my favor I'd like to pick up something like that for garage art at the new Casa! On the dual sport thing: Once you've been there it's really hard to give it up. I'm making a marketing trip to Boise next week on the 800GS. On the return trip I have plotted out a route that includes ~200 miles of remote desert dirt. Pretty much makes a loop of the Steens Mts in southern Oregon. Route stays low and goes right through the Alvord desert. Can't do that on my 1125! Cheers all! Ron |

Just one of the planned roads for the trip back home!
I just hope the weather is at least decent. Ron |

Harv, I think it's just personal preference. The 990 has more ponies though. Bob |

Harv, Steve and ron are on a 5 day dual sport ride. They called tonight and they were in a tiny town in a three room motel out in the desert in Nevada. (Bastards) I was suppose to be on the trip too. Work damn. I did get my FMF muffs for the KTM today though. Heal fast Harv! Bob |

OH MY GOD! Food poisoning SUCKS. I couldn't do anything but puke and squirt for the last two days. Kinda slowed down the old repair process... |

You're all rubbing off on me (no not in THAT way, you dirty bastards!). So I'm trying to decide between the Drz400s or the 650drz. The 400 is a sweet bike but taller and I see the liquid cooling as a minus for an off-roader. The 650 is shorter (I'm short so that's a bonus) and cheaper. 2009 400 is mine for $5683 otd and the 650 would be $5100 otd, so it's cheaper. Thoughts? Yeah, so looks like I'm just going to hold on to the Sprint. I love that bike just not riding it much. The FJR is a blast. Jimmy, that's a cool ride. I'm jealous. |

SWEET! Don, The new bike looks good! The color reminds me of an iguana we had when we were kids called..."the little green jobby" I have no idea where the name came from. That looks like a very fast green jobby! Ride Safe, Harv |

I got the OK to start putting weight on my foot today. That's a good thing. In about 4 weeks I will be full weight bearing and be able to take the Frankenstein boot off. If my riding boot fits then I can ride! No off-road riding for a few months though. Harv |
