My exhaust got installed today. After a couple hundred miles I will get it re-dynoed RB |

That's a Superflow interpretation aimed at producing results equivalent to what a Dynojet would report. As with all such dyno test results, they are best used to gage the effects of modifications and/or tuning on a specific machine, not as absolute measures of performance. Will be interesting to see the performance after Drumification. |

Additionally, I don't see any evidence that the results were factored to standard atmosphere performance (SAE, STD, DIN or the like). If not, then a cool day and a cool dyno room could elevate the actual performance and without appropriate factoring it could well be in the 140 RWHP range. |

Blake, I have the DynoJet files for my 7 stock runs at Liberty. By changing just the correction factor from SAE to STD I can "gain" 4 to 5 HP. I noticed in previous posts by folks that are no longer with us, that they used STD. Let the buyer beware. For the zillionth time, it's only the relative numbers under exactly the same conditions that sort of count. Achieving exactly the same conditions is not that easy, even on the same dyno. Look back on this thread on how my numbers dropped on every consecutive run and the bike never moved off the dyno. The dyno is just one tool, albeit a decent one, for getting the best ride. Arguing a couple of HP one way or the other, especially from different dynos, is really just a pointless academic pursuit in my view. Regarding our Drummers, it appears that there is a significant, even gain across the board on the units shipped to date. As more systems hit the road, we'll get a better picture of the real world experience as well as the expected HP/TQ improvement. Hopefully in time we will have hundreds, if not thousands of satisfied customers like our XB line. |

Kevin shipped mine out on 04/03. I received it yesterday on 4/08. So 5 days from Kevin's shop to TX if we don't count Sunday. Bubble wrap, tape & peanuts made sure it got here in 1 piece with no damage. The pipe looks N I C E in the flesh. Removing the stock exhaust is fairly straightforward. Install of the Drummer took me longer than 'normal' due to having too much fun 'playing' in my garage, but it's very straightforward if anyone is wondering. Kevin's tip of loosening the right side controls came in handy, as it greatly eased the final install. Sound is loud & deep. If you're in an area with aggressive noise enforcement, you will very likely get pulled over with this pipe. If you're in TX and aren't worried about aggressive noise enforcement, then no worries. My wife made me fire it up last night in the garage after install so she could hear it. Now she wants a Drummer for her XB9. It'll be a little while until I can get some good riding impressions, since my in-laws are visiting until next week, but overall, here's my 'grading' for Kevin's work: Communications: A+ Shipping: A+ Craftsmanship: A+ Ease of install: A+ Sound: A+ |

I disagree on the getting pulled over part. It sounds loud as **** when you're sitting on the bike, but when it drives by, or idling from a distance, you can hear it but it's not obnoxious. Because it's such a deep sound it projects and travels, but it's not really all that loud. I LOVE IT! +1 on all the A+'s from my experience. Rob |

I think they looks better black. There's not enough other stainless to hook it all together. R |

It seems most of the exhausts I have heard mellow out a little under engine load vs just free revving. But wait until you get two of them side by side with exhaust tip facing each other while cruising... |
