Does the D&D retain the factory strap in the rear? Factory does not look like its going to fit. Thanks in advance! -Shawn |

Hmmm I cannot get it to wrap around. IS there a trick to this? Or maybe a possible alternative muffler strap? http://www.deepblueyachtsupply.com/series.aspx?id= 128 |

I wonder why?? I used to have a D&D on mine. The muffler came with one strap and I ran two. Meaning I used my stock strap as well. |

if the strap is 1/2 in short go to a large hydraulic supply store. they will have the t-bolt 6.5 and 7 in clamps all the way up to 12 inches. a supply store that does wet line kits for semi's and other high fluid power. i use to work for one i know i paid i think $2.36 each for them up to 8" retail around 7.99 each made by 5 star fasteners(bailey products) and buyers products. it's also thicker than a buell strap and in different widths and stainless. a lower cost upgrade!!! mike mike |

I just reused both stock clamps on my D&D. I didn't want to take off the belt tensioner (couldn't get the D&D between it and the top muffler mount) so I managed to get it on with the stock hardware. |

you know your supposed to replace the clamps when you replace any new muffler on the XB...Or so the manual says. |

Perhaps when I put my D&D back on I'll buy some new clamps. I'm not too worried about the clamps breaking though. |

I have a D&D ... it came with a new longer strap. It was recommended you order a second longer strap for additional support .. but I am just using the single. |

I just used the old ones. They're a little long and look a little funny but they work just fine
