What are you guys/gals CTs typically at riding around town or highway? My bike seems to be running hot and it hasn't even got hot here (Texas) yet..... Compared to an R that I checked with my CR was running about +\- 10 degrees warmer, just wanna get some input on that.... Also my speedo showed 0 mph yesterday for about 10-15 seconds while riding. That's the second time it's done it to me since I have owned it. Anyone else experience that? |

I'm in Austin and the hottest I've seen so far is 192 on a 80 degree day. Usually I cruise at 168 to 172, sometimes up to 180, but not that often. Now come August... As far as the speedo, my bike is in the shop for the "0" reading, dropped it off on Tuesday. I was also having the engine check light come on and off, and the low fuel light and F trip at start up. I suspect I'll get a new cluster out of this trip. |

I usually run anywhere up to about 200F around town, and about 180-190 on the open road. The warning light is supposed to come on at 230. Interesting story: when I first got my bike, I was running up to 220 almost all the time. Actually hurt to ride. Dealer swore "these bikes run hot." I checked the coolant, which was 1/2 quart low. No problems since. |

On 40-60 degree days mine stays around 175, 70's and up 185 and yesterday it hit 192, riding in 100 degree weather is gonna kill me cause the heat coming off the right side seems twice as bad as my lightning Mine being an 09 has the new cluster, I suspect it might not have the latest flash or something simple, well that's just what I'm hoping it is, something simple |

On a 75 degree day, mine runs around 170 - 178. I think the radiator thermostat opens at 175 because mine bounces on that temp. |

"0" on speedo ... If the front brake switch wires short to ground, the speedo will show 0. Short long enough and the fuse will blow. |

I ended up getting an 09 speedo put on the bike. Pick her up today. I hope this is the last of the shop visits for a while. For the 8 weeks I've had the bike its been in the shop for three of those weeks. |

I had a 09 speedo put on my 08 and it dropped off to 0 again after an hour of riding. I think its the pickup which i have checked and seems to be fine????id rather ride than have it sit in the shop another week. |

I had the same problem. My dealer replaced my ecm, got an 09 IC, and now they have ordered a speed sensor. Hopefully after they replace the sensor, it will be fixed. RB |

Have the CR and the speedo freaks almost every ride. Checked all the connections I could get my hand on. Started keeping a log so when I finally take it back to have it looked at, gonna say it's doing this and here is a log of when and what was happening. CT seems to be around 182-185. Seen it get to 200 but was very warm outside and in stop and go traffic. Otherwise runs fantastic love it !!!!!! C. |
