I bought mine at Detroit HD off of Van Dyke and 696. I would not recommend buying it from them. The owner is a huge pain in the ass. He tried to rip me off on a Buell race belly pan thinking I didn't know what the price was. I recommend the HD dealer in Ann Arbor. They seem to know more about Buell. On the other hand Detroit HD does have three 08 1125r on the floor that I am sure they want to get rid of. I paid $12000 out the door last June and got the $650 worth of free Buell stuff. I bet you could get a 1125r for $10,000 these days. |

I'm sure American HD will deal on an 08. I just got mine a few months ago, and it's awesome! Tell them the Tip The Hottie guy sent you. http://www.tipthehottie.com |

Talk to Jon Powell at American HD. Young Guy, known as the 'Buell Guy' there. Even though I taught him everything he knows, hah. Ill tell him youre coming (I'm Jeff) But a pretty decent group and have at least 5 08's to make a deal on. Good service dept as well, although slightly higher priced than others in the region. I had very good luck buying my 1125R bike at the Taylor dealership Biker Bob's. Their service was excellent (picked my bike up last winter at my home for recall at no charge) etc. The guys who work at the parts department are Buell enthusiasts. |

Cd89068 - Not surprised you don't recommend Detroit HD/Buell. My buddy bought his bikes from them and has nothing but problems. His 2 bikes haven't even been looked at by service with an appointment since March 14th! Surprised you recommend American HD/Buell. They are actually the other reason I posted this Thread. Some guy there called me back and gave me a MSRP price on an '08 as a "great deal". Didn't bother to catch his name. Anyone dealt with Cement City out by Irish Hills? I am going out that way this weekend. Thanks all for the feedback. |

Yea, Detroit HD/Buell sucks! Good luck on your hunt for a good dealer and deal. |

At this point , I would say a great deal is about $7995.00 + tax & tags. That's what some 08's have been selling for at some stores. Who can do it? (Message edited by dentguy on April 02, 2009) |

One thing that's good about Detroit Harley is that they stock the Buell service manuals. |

I would not recommend Ann Arbor, there might be one good guy, but the dealer as a whole is not good. Derek look at all the crap you went through there. The service department scratched my bike twice. The manager is a true salesperson if you know what I mean. Bob the finance manager is ok. Go to Toledo for sure. |

This is the crap that makes me wonder why anybody would want to buy a Buell. It's almost 100 miles from Milford, MI to Toledo, OH. Why the hell would you want to go 100 miles to buy a bike and get it serviced? If the half-dozen dealerships in the area can't service the bike then maybe you should look for a different bike. Regarding my issues, 3 dealerships and a factory rep couldn't fix my bike. American gave me a brand new 1125R and it didn't cost me a dime, so at least the dealership made things right in the end. |

I was wondering where and why you got an 1125r. Atleast they made it right. |
