When I pull the front brake, I am getting a Thunk.... Thunk.... Thunk... noise when making a stop... Sitting in the Garage, When I hold the brake and push on the bike I can see the front rotor moving just a little clockwise and counter clockwise...
I have checked the mounting hardware and its all tq'd like it should be... Whats the fix? I was thinking I would replace all the mounting hdwr and see what that does.... Any other thoughts? |

Have you replaced the rotor in the past? |

Mine does it too. It's the 'isolators' in the wheel that allow the rotor to float. Al has some! http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/A9063.html I'm told that it's not a safety issue so I'm leaving it until I replace my front tire |

Both my XB's give me a "thunk ka thunk ka thunk ka" from 25 mph on down .......since new. Just a Buell signature to me. |

When you take the rotor off you will see little spacers, springs, and square du-das. Those are the isolators that are there to absorb the shock. You probably wore them out. |
