i got the bike home. now i need to address the oil issue with the front forks. what parts are a mandatory replacement when changing out the oil seals? 99 s3 |

Do them all they are cheap, oils seals,dust covers,and both sets of bushings. you will need a seal driver. |

On an XB set of for it's about $50 in parts. To replace seals you have to use a slide hammer action on the lower tube to drive the seal out of the upper tube. This trashes the coating on the bushing, so the have to be replaced. Oldog did a real nice write up in the KV on rebuilding the forks. Loren (Message edited by gowindward on March 30, 2009) |

These part numbers when run by the HARLEY-DAVIDSON/BUELL parts technician will come up under the new "BUELLschitte" system ...} |

Brinnutz: 2ea means, one for the right fork and one for the left fork ... You never know what comes 2 in a package until you buy them ... |
