Anyone know of a place to get a new rear shock that is under 1000. I am okay with the regular shock, around here anyway. Mine just started to leak out the back. I didnt know if i can take it apart or its just trash if it leaks. |

This topic comes up more than any I think. I agree 1K for a shock is crazy. I can't beleive there is not a shock that will cross with a Buell that is not less $$$$. |

These shocks operate "backwards" from most bike shocks (except Harley softail shocks) which is why you can't find a cross. They "pull" when your swingarm goes up instead of compress like normal. |

I have had great luck having Racetech rebuild my stock tuber shocks. I get race support from them and i think they are giving me a decent discount, but it has been around $150. I would recomend contacting matt wiley at Racetech. WFO |

Check race tech website for the nearest shop (service center). But make sure it is reputable shop. Joe |

My shock is on its way back from Race Tech. I spent the extra money for the Gold Valve kit. Total price $301. Will give an update after I put some mileage on it. Drew |

Yeah, sorry for not being clear guys. I just bought it last saturday. Also for any new buellers such as myself. The shock mounting bracket for the 14.5in shock is not threaded, so you will need to get longer bolts with nuts. (Message edited by wikid_intent on March 28, 2009) |
