Everything smells more, is brighter, is louder....sometimes I see my shadow while riding and say to myself..."wow, that's me, I'm a lucky bastard". This component of the sport distills your mind and your senses. I like the pure focus required to ride at sporting levels. There is no job, or politics, or money, or family problems. There is only the next left turn, the next right turn, the next hairpin.
