Looking for Drummer owners. I want a Drummer and just want to know what adjustments I will have to make when adding a Drummer. Also some feedback would be great from people that have a Drummer or have a pipe that sounds just as mean. Hit me up guys, thanks....

I bought a drummer over the winter. I installed it over the winter and was finally able to start it up 5 days ago. I was amazed by the sound this pipe gave my XB12. I have a K &N filter but I am waiting to remap with Xopti before I install that and the open air box. I put my exhaust on and rode my bike between 3200 and 3800 rpms for 10 miles and my bike feels great. I could not be happier with my decision to go with drummer. You will not regret it, the sound and power is perfect.

Yeah, I have a drummer and I did not have to make any adjustments on my 08 XB12scg. Kevin at kdfab said it was not necessary with this pipe. There's going to be a little bluing on your pipes and some popping when you decelerate but I think this is normal. My bike runs and sound great.

I can imagine he is a bit backed up, now that he is doing the 1125 pipes, also- depends on which one you want, the original Drummer (uses your stock pipe) or the Drummer SS- all new construction.

If you install any of the Drummers, you do not have to make any other changes to the bike. A K&N filter is recommended but not necessary. We are still shipping XB conversions and XBSS mufflers every week in addition to the flood of 1125SS orders.

sometimes he can send you one first with a core charge and then refund you once you swap them out.

Al at american sportbike has cores at the shop that are built per order and shipped to the customer with a core charge and will be refunded when a good useable core is sent back to me....must call Al or Joanne 760-727-2333 and place the order...if you are not worried about the core deal just send me your pipe as usual and it will be completed asap and shipped back...this is only for the original Drummer conversions...

But a re-map wouldn't hurt, especially if you want things "right". For more info, go to American Sportbike's website, and view "XB Exhaust Shootout Test Results". He includes a lot of data regarding fueling in that report.

Perhaps not necessary, but ideal. Again, reference the XB Exhaust Shootout fueling charts.

Last word: I notice (in your profile) that you have a race ECM on your XB12Ss, together with the Drummer. I mean no offense; just an observation.

I own every XB Drummer and have tested every one on dynos and on the road with my Innovative Motorsports wideband O2 system. I also designed them and made all the drawings to Kevin's specs. I've also tested the race and stock ECM's. The race doesn't throw an error code when the stock servomotor is removed (ECMSPY can set the stock ECM to not throw a code as well). A remap is absolutely not necessary and if the O2 sensor is left off, may be counterproductive with temperature and elevation changes. Our mufflers are designed to be run on the street with the O2 sensor connected and not in a dyno room with the O2 disconnected.
