I'm searching a lot eBay lately trying to find parts for my new X1, and I found a good deal for a Power Commander. I'm going to buy a Race ECM for the bike as well, but I'd like to know from you if the combination of the 2, would be compatible on the bike and if I'll really feel the improvement compared to just the Race ECM. also, the Power Commander is listed for Buell S3, but it should fir the X1 too, right? |

Forget the power commander. From memory everyone that has tried using them on the tubers has had problems. The race ECM is all you need and you can refine the tuning if needed with ECMSPY. BC Steve |

+ on no power commander! Unless you have some major mods the Race ECM is all you should need. Or better yet get an ECM Spy cable and copy the race ecm eeprom to your stock ecm. That's what I did on my bike. I have a copy of the race ecm I can send you. Check out this thread for a cable: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/373386.html?1236733965 |

I bought my bike with the race ecm and power comander. I love the way it runs. It does seem to be a little rich (evidence on swingarm) but the bike runs amazingly well and strong. I honestly don't know what else the guy before me has done to it performance wise other than a forcewinder intake and force pipes. I also have no idea how hard it was to set up. All I know is it runs great. |

As long as it's for an FI tuber, the power commander will work. But as others have said, just use a race ECM. I have a power commander you can have if you want though. |

I have noticed on a lot of tuber's that the rear cylinder always runs rich, I have seen it on 7 different x1's now! I just accept this a norm now! |

I don't wanna add a Power Commander just to say that I have it! a lot of people said that this PC's are like the electro-stimulator: one of the biggest lie of this century. in my personal opinion, having had a TFI on my XB, it was pretty good after you tuned it, but who knows for what reason, after a while it started to change parameters and needed to be re tuned. and I live in Florida, the flattest state of the country, I don't wanna imagine up in the mountains! I will go with just the race ECM, this X1's motor runs strong enough already... |
