Why can I not find brake pads anywhere?! Im not buying stock ones from HD because they dont last more than 4k miles and cost 3x more than the EBCs...anyone know a place that has the EBC rears in stock?? |

Good luck, I had 2 sets on back order through Chaparral here in SoCal since Sept. of last year. Finally canceled my order. Kept getting a new date every time I checked. Don't know what is going on with EBC and those rear brake pads. I have over 6000 miles on my stock originals and still have some meat left. |

Buy the race pads from Buell. If you are not a fast rider, buy something else. They are impressive. The first time I used them after break-in I was surprised at how good they are. |

Be careful with the Buell Race pads, they're not very good for the street. They need quite a bit of heat to work properly. I tried them on my XB, and while they stopped just fine, they did a lot of squeeking and squealing! You might want to give the Lyndalls a look, they work fantastic for the street! My stock pads only lasted like 4k miles. I dont really want the Buell Race pads becauase I was told theyre super expensive. |

The racers use the stock rotor with the Race pads? or is there a separate rotor also? |

Nope, it's the stock rotor. As a matter of fact the XB guys are upgrading to the 1125R rotor because it is 6mm thick vs 5.5mm on the XB. The 6mm rotor is actually the old race part, now stock with the ZTL2. Schmitty |

I'm pretty sure I remember an Anony saying here that there was a thicker rotor thru Henry Duga. I'll check some numbers in a few hours when I go to work. Z |

I'm pretty sure the 6mm rotor is the thicker one? It was formerly the race only part as it was an XBRR part. It was then transferred over to the 1125R with the ZTL2 caliper. Schmitty |

There are a couple of optional rotors for racing, one is the 6mm, and one is the standard thickness with some additional cooling features. Very affordable upgrades for the track, and what Danny, Shawn, Barney, etc. are running. Stock 1125 rotor is the same as stock XB. |

Buell Race Parts are available from Henry Duga THROUGH your Buell dealer. Have a chat with your local parts guy/gal and they will let you know price, availability and rough shipping time. We have to call Henry or Jamie and get a quote then order if you want the stuff. AFAIK the part no.s are unlisted unless they appear in the "Race Parts" section of the Buell P&A catalog. From what I saw on Eslick's and Mike Barnes bikes this weekend at Fontana they are using the stock rotors with EBC brake pads. I measured the thickness of two rotors I have right now, one from an XB thats on my bike and the one that came stock on my 1125R, and both check out to be 5mm thick. |
