Congrats to everyone involved with Danny Eslick's win this weekend. It's been a 25 year road for Buell to get here and I couldn't be happier for Mr. Buell. Let the good times roll on. |

Congrats Danny!!! Go Buell racing!!! Reading the comment below the article in the above link, it appears the naysayers are already crying about Buell having an unfair advantage. The same people would chime in if Buell couldn't compete saying they suck... Whatever!! Go Buell Racing!!! |

AWESOME for Buell and Eslik. A big f-u to the naysayers. sure cc advantage, but the motors redline at what half the rpm? If AMA didnt see it as competitive I'm sure they would boot Buell to another class |

I listened to them complain when we lost. We behaved and stood silent. I'm listening to them complain when we win. I hope the Buell folks stay out of the fracas, do the best they can and have fun. I like winning better and I am really enjoying seeing so many names in the Top 10. In addition to being a fine racer, Danny Eslick is an excellent representative of Geico, Bruce Rossmeyer, Richie Morris, Coca-Cola and Buell. Class act all around. |

"We had a good 600 race and I won that as far as I know," Hacking said after finishing second to the Buell for the second day in a row

Hacking is a big sore loser. More... "The press conference after the race proved as entertaining as the race itself as DiSalvo and Hacking got into it. DiSalvo took exception with Hacking talking to Eslick while DiSalvo was being inteviewed. DiSalvo told Hacking to be quiet, Hacking basically continued as if nothing was said, and then DiSalvo told Hacking to have some respect. At that point, Hacking said: "I lost all respect for you along time ago." Then DiSalvo went with "Well, I never had any respect for you." At that point, the moderator intervened and cooler heads prevailed." (Message edited by dtx on March 22, 2009) |

What was the standard configuration for race bikes before the IL4's? They will dial in the requirements. Maybe it'll be lower displacement. Maybe more weight. Maybe HP restrictions. Odd to see people go ape shit over one win. Now if Buell and Eslick win EVERY race all, year, long...... |

How about more than one Buell in the top ten. Anyone paying attention will see that Danny alone is challenging and beating the big four factory teams. The rest of the Buell/Aprilia teams are making a good show but not challenging the top teams. Great Job Danny! |

I was at Fontana yesterday and saw the Eslick/Buell victory! It really felt great to see Buell win even if there are cc naysayers. The rules limit horsepower to 140 hp and the bikes are put on the dynomometer immediately following the race. The fact that the Buells came in first AND last today is a good thing and should blunt some of the naysayers. If the Buells all came in the top spots, then there might be a basis for bitching. |

AMA Pro Issues Penalties AMA Pro Road Racing rider Jamie Hacking has been suspended indefinitely following this weekend's event at Auto Club Speedway for conduct detrimental to the sport of professional motorcycle racing. The culminating incident occurred in the Auto Club Speedway media center following post-race interviews on Sunday where Hacking used a string of profane language while exiting the press interview area. Prior to this incident, Hacking displayed additional acts of inappropriate behavior in both public and media interviews. "No premier sporting organization would tolerate, whether it be motorsports or major league stick and ball sports, the level of disrespectful, profane and vulgar language in a public forum as demonstrated by Jamie Hacking this weekend at Auto Club Speedway," said AMA Pro Road Racing Managing Event Director Colin Fraser. "His behavior was totally disrespectful to the media, his competitors and the sport of motorcycle racing in general." Hacking will be considered for reinstatement pending payment of a $4,000 fine and delivery of a public apology to AMA Pro Road Racing officials. Subsequent to payment of the fine and receipt of an apology acceptable to AMA Pro Road Racing, Hacking will also be suspended for one full event weekend. All fines paid to AMA Pro Road Racing will be donated to Camp Boggy Creek, a Paul Newman Hole in the Wall Camp located in Eustis, Florida, and the Roadracing World Action Fund. |

Good for AMA! Very poor form from Hacking. If he'd beaten the Buell, would he have been as disrespectful? That said, Eslick, if he is going to continue winning, could be a little more graceful winner. |

That said, Eslick, if he is going to continue winning, could be a little more graceful winner. Out of curiosity, what did Eslick do that was "show-off" or disrespectful? |
