All, I had the dealer ordered a Left rear turn signal that went out on way home from work back in mid Dec 2008. I just called today to check since I have heard nothing, still no turn signal, I am starting to think it's a dealer credit problem with Whitt's of Manassas VA; I am being told it should be in sometime in June, Seven months seems crazy for a warranty replacement. Anybody else having these types of problems, and how did you solve it? |

Spank, the 3 extra periods doesn't mean it's not plagiarism. |

I brought mine in with a taillight that burned out on the way to the shop. My man at Corona HD took a brand new bike OFF THE SHOWROOM FLOOR and switched the taillight out. That's what I call above and beyond. Seven months is negligence. |

Something is not right. SEND me the following:
- your name and full contact info
- VIN
- Dealer name and contact info
- Date ordered
- Part number ordered
Your dealer should have it by Wednesday. Court |

You need a new dealer. And I wish that I had your patience. |

>>>>You need a new dealer. Not necessarily (unless you know something I don't). Generally . . . when this happens it's a lack of communication. Most often the part was never ordered for some reason. Easy fix. |

Buell seems slow to ship at times. I've ordered parts at the harley parts counter and had them take forever to arrive. Also, I've had parts ordered vicariously through the service counter that have taken forever. The guy at service said he can count on harley parts getting to him within a few days, but with buell its hit or miss by weeks. |

Buell seems slow to ship at times. That's NOT an accurate statement. In my experience, Buell ships as soon as they get the order, unless they are waiting on a 2nd/3rd party.} |

Hmmm. It's never taken more then 5 working days for me to get parts that had to be ordered. Seems normal. |

>>>>Buell seems slow to ship at times. That is an inaccurate statement. Buell shipped slow in the mid-late 90's. Buell now ships almost everything, including S2 bodywork, the same day the order is received at Buell. There are, due to the vendor direct nature of some parts, sometimes delays on a specific part but they are very unusual. Having investigated hundreds of "my parts didn't get here" cases the two most common things I find are:
- parts were never ordered
- parts were ordered, arrived and have been sitting on a shelf at the dealership
Buell does as good as any motorcycle company in the world on parts. (Message edited by court on March 22, 2009) |

The fellow on the parts desk sounds like he needs to know more. (Message edited by court on March 22, 2009) |

Amen to that. The worst Buell dealer I have worked with was better then the best Yamaha dealer I tried. (but my Kawasaki dealer is almost as good as my best Buell dealer...) |

just wondering, How hard is it to get just parts on a warranty job? I am tired of bringing mine in to get new blinkers every month and be down for a week. |

For warranty work, keep in mind, it HAS to be done by a licensed tech at a dealership. You can do all your own services, but ... |
