I notice a lot of the x1's have very few miles on them and most are highly modded and modified. I can't see why people are selling these bike at such a low mileage It's a trend i really don't like or understand, I would never sell my tuber even after it took me a lot of toil and frustration to get it to a sweet ride! |

Mine is beat to all hell, it ain't worth nottin. Been raced, did track daze, been crashed 3 times, I don't think I could sell it if I wanted to. It's tried to kill at least four different riders that I know of. I don't think it would be civil of me to sell it to some poor unsuspecting soul not knowing this X1 is evil/demon possessed. When I done with it, it must be melted down,I must spare the public of this menis. |

My X-1 is an S-3T. Every time I think of selling it I get sick - but a short ride always makes me feel better. If I did sell it I would think of it often - but then I couldn't ride it to make myself feel better. So you can see that I really can't sell it. I think I will go for a ride now. |

Probably just a sign of how bad the economy is, I wouldn't sell mine either, unless the choice is the bike or food for my family. I just found a job after 9 months, my fiance has been out of work 5 months counting. I'm fortunate it didn't get to that point. |

People do this cap all the time with bikes in general. $5000 bike + $3500 stuff = $4800 bike with stuff. people buy stuff and dress it up like a Barbie but don't actually ride the damn thing. Then they lose interest and dump it and start over. I never understood this pattern. |

I can't Imagine selling my S1 unless my financial situation had become hopeless and it was Buell or food. I could let the Road King go if needed but my Buell is my lifeline to my sanity. That and my furry kids. |

Just be glad you weren't one of us who bought new ($10,900) then added stuff ($2000+) and have an optimistic $4800 bike. Good thing I want to keep it 'cause my 401 is hemmoraging enough for both. |

Yep. Mine was about the same money. Good think I don't have to sell it! I would probably only sell it to save my house but that's it. |

Today is my first day of joblessness (six months forced furlough) and the only thing that brings a smile to my face is the sight of my X1 in the garage waiting or me to ride it. Like a faithful horse. |

our bikes are not investments, they are tools and/or toys. our mods are for us. don't expect potential buyers to want to pay more than a small fraction of what the mods cost. (it is better to be surprised than disappointed if they do) enjoy it at whatever level of variation you have it for yourself. |

65 miles one way to work. I bought it late in the season last year but plan on getting a lot of miles on her this year. I am in the crowd already that will never sell this bike. I mean unless some unforseen financial tragedy happens but she is paid for and I know I won't get a whole lot out of a sale. I will definitely try to add bikes but will always keep this one. |

I have never regretted a motorcycle purchase, but I have regretted selling almost every time. That's why I have two Buells. The original plan was to buy two, an S3T and an M2, and see which one I liked the best, then sell the other one. That plan didn't work. I like them both and neither one is going to be sold. Now I think a nice S2 might be a needed addition when I can afford it. I guess Buells are like that. |

If I were unemployed, I'd sell the car. The X1 gets 50+ MPG. It's a matter of economics and maintaining my sanity. You gotta get away. |

I’d tried to sell my X1 a while back . I had a few offers, 3 trade offer for 90’s era cars with book values of $1500 or less. Another guy emails me and tells me he might be willing to go a little over $2000. I was looking for about twice that. It got to the point where checking my email got on my nerves. So I’m keeping it. I took less then I wanted for my last jap bike. No way in hell am I going to do that with this bike. This bike is too much fun to give away. |

Mines not a x1 but I've got to chime in, I've paid it off twice now, once the original purchase, then my bank gave me a secured loan against the bike that I used to consolidate and pay off some misc bills. Then, when I got hit on it - the money I saved buying used parts and doing my own repairs helped pay the hospital bill for my daughter's birth! The bike is not named but she's been such a blessing I'd never part with her. If money got really tight I'd prolly borrow against it again rather than selling it, it has gotten me through too much already to let it go easily, not to mention it helps keep me sane and puts a smile on my face when nothing else will. |
