Need a little help with my seat latch. Last season it vibrated itself apart and when I went to put it back together, it doesn't seem quite right. I think I may have lost a spacer or something. In the picture are the bits I have. When I go to tighten the nut that holds the arm it gets funky and does not feel right. Is there a spacer or something that goes between the arm and the lock cylinder? It seems as there could be one needed because without one the arm seems to bind on the tab sticking out of the lock cylinder. Also, what is the proper orientation for the lock cylinder? I think I had mine in there backwards too. It seemed I was turning the key in a different direction than I remembered. Thanks for the help, EG  | ||

Yes, you lost a lock washer that goes on the lock cylinder. The center of it is a square shape. I allows the lock the turn the correct way and lock (stop) in order to remove the key. I finally got rid of my lock on the S2-T and velcroed my seat to the rear section. When I get home I can take a pic of the piece you are missing if you want. I am pretty sure you can pickup a similar lock at any hardware store and use the washer off of that or use the whole assembly. You may be able to buy the washer itself but I have never looked for one. Frank | ||

Erik, I got a nice replacement at local locksmith that was a help when working on bike in that you could take the key out in either position, unlike the stocker. Had it keyed to match my ignition. | ||
