I can't wait any longer waiting for a deal to pop up. My butt goes numb after 15 minutes on my XB9. What is the best place to buy a Select seat from and get a decent deal? I ordered a Select Seat through Jeff at Appleton HD 1 week ago and I called today to get the ETA on it, they said it was back ordered to the 20th. This is the 2nd time that Appleton has screwed me, last time I ordered from them it took 2 weeks to get a rear wheel bearing that was already in stock. I know this is kind of petty, but why when I order something it should take 2-3 weeks to even get it with no notification and no sincerity when I call in and ask?! |

That eBay link is for St Paul Harley. Awesome folks, Lance is great. I'd say that is the best place to go to. |

BuellMalarky, Ditto on the link from Greenlantern. There is an HD shop on E-bay that is selling those seats for $170 plus another $16.95 for shipping. I am looking at getting one for my XB9S I can't remember which HD store it is but if you search for it you can't miss. |

I just bought one from an Southside Harley out of Indiana for 180 plus shipping. Not bad. RJ is a pretty cool dude. Had it in stock too, that was the worst part, finding it in stock. I called about 20 HD dealers. |

Upon the pain of seeming to repeat myself, there is no need to EVER wait more than a few days for ANY Buell part if you need it in a hurry. There is a thing called Harley net. Every Buell dealer can check the parts stock of every other dealer in minutes. Even parts that are back ordered at the factory, are usually in stock somewhere. What you encountered is simply business as usual at most Harley dealers. They don't stock any Buell parts, and they only order them every now and then, if you are lucky. Let them know you just won't put up with that kind of service anymore. Shocking to hear how Appleton has declined since Dave Stueve was there. Find a sponsor dealer parts department where they want to help out. You could try Trip at Precision HD in Pawtucket, or Paul at Gainesville, HD for starters. |

Correct. I was looking for a Buell helmet a while back, one that was discontinued a year before. The lady at the motorcloths desk found one in my size from another dealer. Needless to day, a few days later it was in my hands (on my head?). |

Is the select seat wider, or just more gushy? My seat seems to cut in to my rear side more than just not be gushy enough. |

St Paul HD is top notch. I've not bought a seat from them, but I have bought other items. There was one time that I received a wrong part for my bike because I had ordered the wrong thing for my bike. (DUH!) I called them up to get info on how to return it. They said no problem. I paid for the shipping of the wrong item back. Without missing a beat, they just sent out the item I needed without charging me for shipping or the difference even though it was a couple dollars more. |
