The good news is I got to ride today and this bike Rips! The bad news is I knocked my side bag off the shelf and the latch broke. The left and the right appear to be the same cause I took the other side off and it fits both bags. Anyone have the part # it would help my dealer find it faster for me.
Thanks |

Yeah, I wrote Hepco, to tell them they needed to work on their attachment system for the journey topcase, after mine popped off and bounced down the road! They told me Buell designed it, and it was their fault! Lying Kraut Bastards!! |

After having lived with these bags for a couple of years now I have come to the conclusion that those straps can be fabricated, no sweat BUT they must remain the weal link in the system. Using cable or something strong like that will transfer the weak link to something much more expensive. As usual, genuine Buell parts or in this case HB parts are really inexpensive and hard to beat. I got replacement straps (decelhaulter whatever) for like five bucks from a BMW dealership on the www. I have found that when ordering them it's the same shipping cost to order extras at the same time. |
