The Tuono mirrors from American Sport Bike. They are cheap, look great, very strong, and reduce vibrations. | ||

The 1125CR mirrors are supposed to work with minor work. Earlier I asked if anyone had done this hoping to hear if it helped the vibration issues, but heard nothing back. They are also available from American Sport Bike. http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-p rodshow/18019.html | ||

I'm not sure if you're apposed to the Bar-Ends because of their look or because you're afraid they won't work well. IMHO, my bar-ends work MUCH better than the stock mirrors. They give me a MUCH wider view letting me see directly behind me and outwards on both flanks due to the convex shape. Another big benefit is that ALL vibration is gone; my stockers were a blurry mess unless i was above 4K RPM or squeezing the hell out of the bars! Cost= ~$40. Good luck whatever you do | ||

Bar ends are ugly and are the first thing to break in a tip over. I have crashed my Uly at least a dozen times, and my Tuonos are "scuffed"   | ||

Yes thats when my bike was still a Lightning. I got the kit from Badweb sponsor Strada (Palmer Products). Great info thank you all, keep the choices coming. Those tuono ones look to be best option at this point. Bar ends still a possibility if a stylish one available. | ||

I got these a little while back off eBay ($40) ... I liked the style, and figured at that price, why not try? Good: Wide field of vision, fairly little vibration (even at idle), and now a greater spread between turn signals compared to stock. They look alot better than the 'lollypops' as well ... Bad: Thin/light gauge wires for the LEDs - so I ran the wires thru the stock sheaths to protect them a little more. Also the LEDs are not as bright as I would have liked (and reduced brightness from the side - enough so that I have a small pair of smoke oval LED's in the stock locations to make sure folks see me from the sides at intersections - more lights is more better, right?). **Curved side of mirror must go down (shown - upper half of attached photo) - I tried switching sides so the flat part of the mirror would line up with my handguards (for asthetics) and the curved side would be up (see lower half of photo) ... but then you end up with the LED's being 'puddle lights' instead of turn signals**  |
