Hmmmmm.. So Bobby.. dot net or dot com? I know the bunch you speak of and several years ago was involved in one of he same basic pissing matches with some of those asshats. One of them even went so far as to challenge ANY Buell and rider combination to a 'duel' at Summit Point. I had a couple of friends volunteer to go out and meet the challenge.. When the guy found out that (he's a licensed racer) the 'old photogeek' wasn't the only one coming out.. he vanished.. Don't stress it, there are much better people to ride with, like me and Rat and Babired and.. well.. a bunch of us in the area.. really.. If they just want to bash you and pick on you in person.. well, maybe they need to come out and do it when you're not alone? If there were two Buell riders or more.. they'd start to loose the pack mentality. Lastly. On an '03 XB9R I've 'owned' an R6, GSXR1K, Honda something or other and a slew of other 'faster' bikes. Yes, they can out run me in a straight line, but most of these schmucks don't know how to turn, learn to really ride. Take a look at tires next time you decide to hang with them. How many of these so called expert riders have HUGE strips? The really good riders, wont push it on the street, only the idiots. Besides, I know some roads.. hehehehehehehehehehehehe.. and they're not too far from us.. (depending on where you are) | ||

Bobby - yep, I work at HD/BofF. Off the next week, but back on the 20th. Tipoff is, if there's a Buell parked right outside the front door (a red S2, white S1W or muddy Uly), I'm working  Parts guy...(special)Ed? lol. Great guy. Little different...but a good guy. I was giving an honest opinion, Jramsey have you read my other posts?Have you looked at all the other posts? I don't like the idea of runnign liters against 600s, but I was using a little cynism and sarcasm. I wasn't dissing Buell, heres some other posts same thread: "So no other bikes blowup at the track, its only Buells? And wow look at that, theres no oil under my XB9R. Or my friends 12R. And when you say notorious, is that with the community as a whole or just you and your buddies? Seen a couple Buells eat it at the track, but no inline-4s ever do?" "I don't get bothered when its negative about Buell, I'd just liek to see proof when generalizations are made about them without proof. I don't hold Buell above any other company. But when I see things like their oil leaking pigs and they blow up and only idiots drive them I'd like to see proof. I don't come bash your bike brand and say things like Yamahas leak oil, Hondas blow up, Suzukis throw rods. Every bike has its problems, but prove it when you say Buells blow up and leak oil all the time, because I haven't seen any facts. RnR cycles runs Buells, but would you go there and tell them their bikes blowup and leak oil all the time? I guess ya'll must have better judgment than RnR since they chose a couple Buells over the usual Big 4.I'm done with this thread. No matter what the facts are, you guys will always bash the Buells. Always the same group. Never seen anything bad about Ducatis or Aprilias when they should have the same problems as Buell V-twins, no? No, because Buell is an easy target. I agreed with you guys already that the performance (top-end, size to horsepower ratio) needs to be improved, but as far as anything else goes I ain't buying. I'm not trying to be a jerk, maybe I get a little heated but usually anything Buell related on here gets bashed, Buell2001's incindiary comments or not. Just drop them a note: Suzuki has recalled 2005/2006 GSX-R 1000s because the frames and suspension can crack and fail catastrophically under extreme use....like on the track or backroads. Guess @#$% can happen to any one. | ||

Conversely, many make the mistake that those who speak well, are well mannered, and present themselves attractively are more intelligent than they really are.
