soooo, it looks like i am gonna have some alot of over-time come this april. half of the power station is gonna hafta shut down for re-fueling. RELAX, IT'S NOT GONNA BLOW UP. this summer will use up all we have left, so it's better to shut down now while electricty usage is low (nice weather) hopefully i can still make it to the HRH outings |

LOL @ Mel....sorry dude. My wife and I had a difference of opinion on this weekend and needless to say...I stayed home. LOL Ok you guys, I soliciting for opinions...my XB9 project has gone crazy...here's what I can do, big bore kit 1170cc, flow the heads and install a cam. Price for all of this $3250.00 They have to bore the cases to match the cylinders. My dilemma now is at what point does this project become more than its worth? I can get an 1125CR with more horsepower but will cost me $5000 on top of what I already owe on my 9. Hmmmmm do I take my down-payment and put it on a 1125 or towards the kit? What y'all think?

do you want the CR's power band, or just more power? do you wanna wrench on yer own bike or would you rather deal with a slick salesman. (no offense, mel) deep down inside, do you want a new buell? i'd sooner buy a new bike than invest all $ that into my current one. edit: but i only paid $4,200 for mine my 0.02 (Message edited by nillaice on March 09, 2009) |

Mike...I rode the 1125CR today and I absolutely love that motor but the bike is to close of kin to the 1125R as far as comfort and seating...Not for me. I want that motor in an XB frame. I had to be honest with myself and today I logged 31 miles on the 1125CR and it wasn't at all comfortable. In fact as soon as I sat on my 9SX, it felt like a glove being back on it. Sooooo I stopped by HRHD on the way home and they have a 07 XB12STT holdover. I sat on it and immediately felt comfortable, it has the power that I want and I'm seriously thinking of getting it, of course with the Buell race ECM, D&D exhaust and XB9 gearing. Not to mention that its rare and not everyone will have one. I'll make her my own and I'll let y'all know tomorrow.

I don't know, now I have to get the car done. I have to go back when I get a drill (cordless) to drill out the rivets in the window. Once I get that done, I think I will be good. The bike feels a little different though, maybe I it was more screwed up than I thought and I just got use to that. Anyone, I may not make it out this week, since I leave on next Monday. But I will try to make one ride before March Badness. |

Goody, The one is the one. I sat the XT at HRHD, and my butt knew that was the one. I had it shipped to SSHD so Duck could sell it to me. Call Duck...He da man!!! (Message edited by Tank_Bueller on March 10, 2009) |

Goody I agree with Tank, go with the butt it will never let you down. If it feels right, then it is the one for you, ask my old cellmate LOL. But seriously go with what will suit your needs, if you are looking for more power both bikes wil out perform the xb9, the TT will not rev as quick as the xb9 but you gain a few ponies, the 1125 will rev quicker and definately have more power as you saw when you rode it the other day. I am happy with both my xb12 and the 1125. The xb is my choice for long rides due to comfort, don't get me wrong the 1125 is comfortable but my hands go to sleep quicker. Do what ya feel I am partial to both bikes and know how you feel. Jimmy |

Dave, for safety reasons, that's a good idea. Suches is no place to get re-acquainted with your bike. |

I did it fellas...I got the XB12 STT...has more of everything and is comfortable to ride. Duc got $1900 off price for me since it was a hold over. Sooo I took advantage of that and ordered: 1. Buell Race ECM 2. K&N filter 3. D&D Exhaust 4. XB9 Primary drive gearing (11% redux) She's gonna be able to pull stumps...LOL I'm ordering from American Sport bike the open air box kit and I'm gonna get rid of the gold side cases and buy the black ones from ebay. Once all the race parts are on I'll wrap the headers again in black. I like the STT because it fills all the checks in my "what I'm looking for" box. I originally looked at this very same bike but passed over it due to price and just retiring from the Navy and I liked the way the 9sx would rev. I had to get rid of the 9sx because I was using all it had and looking for more. Headwork and big bore was the final straw. I dont care about price as long as it suits my needs and wants. I'm satisfied...now where's my credit card, I need to logon to American Sport bike...LOL Goody

Oh, did I mention that its a rare bike...part of the appeal now that its discontinued and y'all know me...the number plates STAY ON, contemplating my district 13 MX #s on there. No "bitch" riding on this bike. LOL (Message edited by goody on March 11, 2009) |

Goody, The airbox is pretty much swiss cheese already. You might want to inspect before you fork out the cash for the open airbox kit. |

Well i guess Murphy just had to show up. For now I have a work around, but my tail light is out on the bike, but I have brake lights. I wonder what SSHD did. I plan on calling them tomorrow and want to take the bike back so that can look at it next week. I will be TAD. For now I flipped the harness so that the tail light stays on but I don't have the brake light. I can at least get away with that. |

Jason...yes you can. American sport bike has the kits. You dont actually get more horsepower, just put more of it down low in the power. Tank...I will do the same mods that American sport bike did to their bikes to mimic the dyno reports. For $69 bucks the open air box kit is minimal to me, plus I like getting the crank case breather tubes out of the intake tract. |

Gentleman......and I do use that term loosely...we have another Bueller amongst us...John Piper bought the 1125CR demo this evening. Congrats John and thanks. Same to Goody on the XB12STT...I'm not sure who was more excited about the purchase....him or I. The TT is a really fun ride. Thanks to ALL of you for helping me spread the good word on Buell...without you guys this dealership would be nowhere. |

Duck, Just make sure you keep doing what you are doing. I am a buell'r for life now (as long as it has a front fairing). Just kidding, but there is nothing like it. And the funny part about things is that except for the Katana 750 I had. Every vehicle I have ever owned has been American (Ford, Dodge, Lincoln) and after owning a buell, I think I will keep it that way. |

Ooooo Raaaaah....Duc's the man...I'll be down this weekend to pick up some Buell goodies for my new purchase. Im gonna put some graphics on that front fender that will livin it up a bit and order the blue Buell airbox stickers to bring out the blue wheels. To all my Buell buddies...when we gonna ride? If this weekend might I suggest a stop at my place for FREE BEER IN THE MENS ROOM (garage). I put a kegerator out there 2 weeks ago and haven't put a dent in the keg. If so...Sunday would be best for me. Oh and dont pay attention to my sheetrock/mudding skills...lol I can bend steel into all kinds of shapes but sheetrock kicked my azz. However the real tree wallpaper will look really cool when Im done. LOL

Goody, If Sunday is at all possible, I'm on my way! You know you want to get the blue air box and fly screen, and if you do, I'll be happy to help you find a new home for the white! I know the way you ride and you don't want to be that easy to pick out in a line up! |

LOL @ Mel...you misunderstood me...Im ordering the "Buell" airbox stickers in blue like the blue and white firebolt. I just ordered the open airbox kit from American Sport bike and Im ordering some white graphics for the front fender. Its gonna look really cool when Im done. I'm going to contact XGX graphics for a design to put on the flyscreen and number plates. I'm thinking of a demonic Pegasus design...Naaaasty |
