Anyone here that is interested in showing our government leaders that we have had enough of their crap and would like to demonstrate their protest to the insanity in Washington is encouraged to do the following: On April 1, 2009, all Americans are asked to send a TEABAG to Washington , D.C. You do not have to enclose a note or any other information unless you so desire. Just a TEABAG. Many cities are organizing protests. If you simply search, "New American Tea Party", several sites will come up. Your one voice will become a roar when joined with millions of others that feel the same way. Why, April 1?? We want them to reach Washington by April 15. Will you do it? I will. Send it to; 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Washington , D.C. 20500 . Forward this to everyone in your address book. Visit the website below for more information about the 'New American Tea Party'. I would encourage everyone to go ahead and get the envelope ready to mail, then just drop it in the mail April 1. Can't guarantee what the postage will be by then, it is going up as we speak, but have your envelope ready. What will this cost you? A little time and a 42 or 44 cent stamp. http://newamericanteaparty.com/ |

It isnt a tea party unless we are seizing the appropriate taxed item, looting, throwing it over board and setting the boat ablaze.... We are past needing at Tea Party, we need a good old fashioned Revolution "And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants" Thomas Jefferson |

None of my onions I admit, but isn't this a bit premature? I mean, your new pres hasn't had 2 months at his desk yet, bit tough to kick his arse before he's had a decent crack at it. Just my opinion as an outside spectator with no political affiliation. |

"We are past needing at Tea Party, we need a good old fashioned Revolution" I couldnt agree more!! I also believe that these "tea parties" going on around the country are just the beginning. Every revolution needs to start somewhere, right? |

In two months he has now spent 1.2 TRILLION dollars that we don't have in the name of stimulus. Its a bunch of BS to allow them to push through every liberal agenda item from the last 40 years. We don't have the money. My kids won't have the money. Are we sending Lipton or Luzianne? |

Snippet . . .
quote:In his speech, Obama conceded that "earmarks have been used as a vehicle for waste and fraud and abuse." Yet, while the bill he was signing was "imperfect," he said, "I also view this as a departure point for more far-reaching change." Translation: We'll do better next time. Sorry, Mr. President. That line may work in Chicago politics, but it doesn't fly when you're in the White House. Heck, it doesn't even fly outside the White House. Imagine blowing the limit on your credit card by a couple grand - and then telling the card company, "Sorry, I'll do better next time." Plus, who really believes Obama's pledge of better behavior? Between the stimulus and the budget, he's shown neither the ability nor the inclination to control spending. He had an easy chance to stand for earmark reform with this bill - but he got rolled by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. And "The speaker made me do it" isn't acceptable, either. Yes, it is hard for a president to stand up to his own party. But if Obama can't pull it off during his first 100 days, when will he be able to do it? Unfortunately, Obama seems more comfortable with blaming someone else: * He can't do anything about the economy - because he inherited it. * He can't do anything about the deficit - because he inherited it. * He can't do anything about earmarks in Washington - because he inherited those, too. Someone get this man a box of tissues.
Read the entire thing here. Obama is a joke. |

If you wanted to do something really useful with your postage, you could mail beef jerky, socks, and Pringles to Stingaroo. |

quote:We have received hundreds of questions about an email circulating that urges folks to send tea to Washington on April 1st or April 15th. This effort is NOT endorsed by the New American Tea Party. It is a neat idea, but things like that will either be held up getting scanned or end up getting thrown away due to security precautions.

It's not "we'll do better next time"... it's "we'll stop doing it when we have everything we want and you start asking for something". Kind of like the current Democratic vision of bipartisanship. |

Given the massive accomplishments of our president and his outstanding pick of cabinet members, things should start getting better very soon. Its this change we can believe in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtGrp5MbzAI |

"I'll add those to the next package- Bill- I take it you are over there too by your profile pic?" I was over and back. I have a bunch of friends heading over now. In fact, one of my best friends was supposed to be attached to Stingaroo's unit (if he is the unit I am thinking of), but he managed to get attached to a Wisconsin NG unit instead. I know it's a partial thread jack, but I know how much it means for those guys to get stuff from home. We once got a box of hats that were knit by a bunch of little old ladies at a nursing home. We wore them all over the place until we were told to stop. Useful? Not at all! Meaningful? TOTALLY! Now Pringles and beef jerky? PRICELESS! Bill |

They are bitchin cause they all found out something. That they are not getting that stimulus check. You know, the one they were promised. The one that would pay their mortgage, gas and such. |

Screw the teabag, if this ever went beyond 'consideration' I'd be marching on D.C.. This is a gross & negligent breech of the trust between the Government & those who have ever worn a uniform of the Armed Forces of the U.S.A. in my opinion & P!$$E$ me off in case you couldn't tell. WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki confirmed Tuesday that the Obama administration is considering a controversial plan to make veterans pay for treatment of service-related injuries with private insurance.
