unfortunatly i wont be able to make the gates barbque meet up. i got offered to go to florida and attend a wakeboard camp free of charge by one if my buddies. i also got a new back tire, what do YOU guys do to break them in? i plan on still attending the Joplin trip, even though im still not sure when or where were gunna meet. i will be watching KCLW section closely on my trip. And for the fellas that had misfortunes i hope you guys get better. gear is your friend! i never ride without a helmet. | ||

Welcome Dave! Well usually I like to break in my tires the same way Drake described, maybe not so many hard turns, but some nice sweeping ones. Plus I try to stay on the bike  . Hope you guys heal up quick! | ||

Went to Riverfront Harley to check on the repairs of my wrecked bike.. I might get it back by wednesday next week.. So i might make the Joplin ride! | ||

Went to the doc...my collar bone is a level 5 dislocation/separation (which is pretty bad). I won't be riding for awhile. If I make Joplin, I will be in the truck. I'll see what next week brings. | ||

I am sorry to sya that I am out for Sat. I have to go to Omaha and take care of a last mintue family thing. I am still going to be doing the Joplin thing thats for sure, if I dont see all on the ride down I will see you at the dealership for sure. What is the plan for the group head down on Friday morning? I am needing to get 3 tires put on in the next few days any suggestions who would be the best to use? I have used Gails, and well I am not going to go off on that rant. | ||

Well we didn't have a turnout like I thought we would. Only had 4 guys show up at Gates to eat, then Dave came by to say hi before we left. A couple of us went riding for a little while afterwards. Stopped by Letko Cycles to look at the new KTM RC8. Wow what a bike! Hopefully we get a much better turnout for the Joplin trip. I say we plan to meet at about 9:45 am at the QT at 151st and 69 Highway. Everybody think that would work? I figure we can gas up there and head out. Then we can stop at Fort Scott to gas up, take a break or whatever. Anybody know of any roads we could take for fun? I'm looking at a map and looks like Route V starting at Virginia, MO might be a decent twisty road? Looks to be about 36 miles long. Then head to Fort Scott after that. | ||

Well got the bike out tonight for the first time.. New plugs, wires and air filter. Good thing is its running, bad thing is that it still runs like shit after 4k. Either way I still plan on riding to joplin this weekend. | ||
