It's HERE - the official Buell Racing exhaust! I've seen it on Higbee's bike but until this weekend didn't know that Higbee's exhaust was THE exhaust being offered by Buell Racing. Having played with the exhaust on the dyno, I've seen it work and it's schweet - much better mid-range and peak HP. You really do need to tune for it - and like everything else that affects engine/EPA - it's only available to licensed racers. (bummer but it's the times in which we live) Race Exhaust System part number S2110A.08B2 Only available through Henry/Buell Racing, retail $1799.99 When you look at how complex the 1125 exhaust really is - 4/2/1 with oxy sensors - I'm surprised that it's this "cheap." I paid $1800 for my Beson that I still run on my XB - and that was 5 years ago! |

>>> it's schweet - much better mid-range and peak HP. That's an accurate statement. It really raises the bar on performance exhaust systems. It's cheap, but it's worth it. |

Wolf, I am with you all of the way. I didn't make it to Mid-Ohio in 08. But with the 1125r running I am going to make it a point. |

When Harley was in the game, HOG would rent the Mid-Ohio deck and it was one of the coolest things.... to see all the long hair/biker types at a sport bike event... I hope Buell can get some of those people back. I'll do my part to spread the word..... |

All six 1125Rs entered in the 200, including Eslick's and Barney's, are running the Buell race pipe. Judging by the trap speeds, it's working. |

IF Higbee isn't totally burned out after Daytona and then Fontana - he MIGHT hang out in California for the WSMC race weekend... if he does, I can snap some pics (well, Sunny will have to since I'm kinda doing that racing thing) It is a well put-together system. |

Yeah, $1800 aint cheap but Keep in mind, this is a FULL system - not a slip-on. I paid the same price for the Beson for my XB more than 4 years ago... and that is a MUCH SIMPLER system. It is a no-compromises racing exhaust and truthfully, if you're not actually racing the bike, it IS pricey. |

My wide eyes come not so much from how much the exhaust costs, but that it gives some idea how much it costs to go racing. This isn't for the faint of heart is it? |

I guess that's another plus for a mass-centralized exhaust system: it protects your $1800 investment in the event of a crash. |

No. An exhaust, hey, when you're done with that, you can sell it. The tire bill for Daytona is going to exceed the cost of the pipe. |

Nance, $$ even for hacks like me ... bike and gear aside, I just pre-entered a WERA race weekend at VIR. Practice day and 7 races, $650; tires minimum $400; lodging/food $200+; Fuel and misc.: $150.... Experience: nothing like it. (Message edited by rubberdown on March 05, 2009) |

Higbee's was putting down about 143-ish Don't have the numbers stock on his bike on that particular dyno so it's kinda meaningless with about 3-5 HP uncertainty compared to other dynos/temperatures/days. |
