lets just "hypothetically" say that i found a set of pm wheels real cheap. but they are powder coated 2 different colors. how easy is it to remove the powder coating without screwing up the wheels. would i have to re-polish them. | ||

you'll be bead blasting the coating off from them. and yes, re polishing as well. There isn't a clean and easy to remove it | ||

Don't blast 'em. Send them to the powdercoater, and they can 'cook' the powdercoat off. It would be easier, IMHO to re-polish. | ||

its going to be costly, i use 'gasket remover' its some nasty shit though, removes powder coat pretty damn well... but u need a bio-hazard suit to use it! IT burns when it hits your skin! | ||

i have used aircraft stripper before to strip powder coating. but it is also some really nasty stuff to work with. but it will eat it right off. | ||

Chasespeed recomended aircraft stripper too. LDB tell me how it goes I clear coated my pm's they now have chicken puke under the coating in places =( you will have to remove the bearings and valve stems, use heat on the bearings dont beat them out! | ||

Marine paint stripper and then have them repolished. | ||
