Here's the problem. I need to lift the rear of the bike to remove the wheel to drill and mount new spools. I don't want to buy the three prong rear stand because I will be using one for spools, but the spools arn't on the bike yet because I can't lift the rear end to put the spools on... Hmmm

I could go on and on, but you get the point.

Can the stock muffler hold the weight if you put a jack under it? I've seen that mentioned in the service manual. I'm open for suggestions.

the stock muffler is supposed to be where you jack the bike up. thats why it says things about that in the manual.

thats how i always change my tires in my buells. a car jack and the kickstand have worked great for going on 6 years now. i think you'll be ok, lol

I put jack stands beneath the rear passenger pegs. They were a bit short, so I made up the difference with a 2x6 beneath each one and I used a rag to prevent scratching the peg mounts. Works very well.
