ok here's the question/scenario; there are two types of pro series wires, (i'm referencing the orange ones for example only) the 32011-01Y that is listed for the FI bikes and 31968-01Y for the Carb'd bikes. i have tried to find a set of the carb version, all dealers are out, somebody in Minnesota bought 'em all!!! i found a few sets of the FI version, but am a bit concerned if they will work. it seems they should, but the coil may be different or in a different location, so one may work on the other but not the other way???? anyone have access to both types and both bikes can try it out??? thanks. |

yeah, that "onebadx1" guy bought them up. They retail for $12.95 and he's selling them for about $35. He was doing the same for the Axle covers. Glad I picked up a few sets from some dealers before he snagged 'em. Honestly, when I was looking through the performance catalog last night at the dealer, I didn't notice two separate part numbers, so I don't think there is. I guess I'll let you know if they'll work. I just bought 2 sets of the Orange wires from a dealer in California last night as a matter of fact...We'll see whenever they get here I guess. |

Old School: Go to NAPA and get stranded wire plug wire(plus ends) and make your own ... Make them short as possible ... No closer than 1 inch to metal(use plug wire stand off's) ... Little electrical grease ... Who cares if the cage drives can hear you go by in their radio ... |

wilson, yep! tried antelope, they were out. only 3 dealers showed the carb'd style, all sold recently. Buellistic; that will be the way i go, if these won't work, if any parts houses around here still carry the stuff to make your own. if not, i'm sure summit or jegs still carries the stuff. |

I went down to an Orange County speed shop where they had Jacobs Electronics Energy Core spark plug wires in bulk. These are 8.5 mm spiral wound, metal core, low resistance, radio suppression silicone wires. I brought in my S1 wires and they made up a set in black for $8. They made for snappier performance than the stock 50k ohm wires. |

I bought a set of Screamin Eagle plug wires for a XL 1200. They fit preatty good. HD dealers have them all colors run about 412.00. They are the over size think 8.8 not sure if they would work on a FI bike. |

The part number I found for my X1 from Iron Machines site was 32012-01Y (instead of 32011-01Y)and the dealer looked it up and told me is was discontinued. So I ended up getting the regular wire @ $3.50. Is there noticeable difference between stock and Pro-series? |

Kalali; yeah, those are the FI style. 32012-01Y are yellow. if you do a HD Net search you might find a dealer with some, if onebadX1 hasn't bought them all! |

Is there noticeable difference between stock and Pro-series? from my personal expirience no, nothing different when it comes to the 'butt dyno'. I have an 02 X1 with race ecm, high flow K&N and a V&H slip-on. i've tried stock, pro-series and Accel... i felt NO difference! Just my .02 |

ok, i got my 2 sets of orange wires for a FI tuber. i can't use them, unless i modify the coil ends. i'd rather not do that. so i will sell them either here or ebay. anyone need a set? they'd go great on a volcano gray and orange S3, or a molten orange X1!!! |

Yeah, I went through this already with Yellow, I bought the F.I. ones offn ebay, and they didn't work, sold them. Found the carb ones on ebay, they work. I only bought them for the color, I absolutely didn't feel any difference with them. Subsequently bought about 4 more sets, looking for some that don't interfere with my Kisan S1, and no luck. And of the 4 I think the only ones I could feel a difference was the Magnacore, they seemed slightly worse than the rest. I'm currently running some other yellow ones, I forget what brand, so I have some 'spare' Race Wires for carbed bike, but in Yellow. I'd sell them for what I paid for them, it was under $25 shipped. |

La Fayette, Another good idea. Thank you for that. Besides, it might be that "LOUD WIRES SAVE LIVES" if they causes cage drivers to snap out of their trance to see what is going on around them.
