THAT’S IT; THE CAT IS OUT OF THE BAG! With the performance this year in AMA and Buell Hiring a High Profile Ad Firm that makes attention-getting and often controversial campaigns for Burger King, Domino's Pizza and, Old Navy. Everyone is going to know what a Buell Motorcycle is. I think that less and less people will be asking us about our bikes. No longer will a Buell owner have to recite the Company History. Everyone will know where East Troy, WI is and that Erik is spelled with a “K” People talking at the water cooler will say, “Did you see the latest Buell Commercial?” I think 2009 will be the year of the American Sportbike! Feel free to add comments……. |

THe pods are evil and must be eliminated as demonstrated here. The X-Frame rejected the transplant/graft. Great show if not for that. |

I think you've nailed it. Indeed...A scary thought. Exclusivity is soon over. |

I started watching it after scanning thru the channels and seeing "Daytona 200" on the channel guide. Not being able to tell what kind of bikes they were I said to myself, "Someday a Buell will be in that mix". Then I heard, bla bla bla and the Buell bla bla ..... what Buell? where? Then he pulls into the pit and I see it's an 1125r! Holy S$%^ I was pumped! Still am. I have to tell ya, seeing that 1125 on tv just freakin' nailin it in the 200 like that was a very proud moment. Unless I saw it different, he was way up there before the bodywork became a problem. I think we'll be seeing a first place finish very soon. Other things could of happened but it appears that some bodywork is the only reason he didn't make it this time. Man I'm pumped!! This is so cool! |

I had to know so I googled it... It says, "What kills us. The best love." Google says it's Polish(?) I think I like Tim's translation better. |

Ok, I'm playing catch up here. Went and read some headlines so now I have a better clue. I originally thought it was only 1 but found out six 25r's were in the race. Yeah, I know, I'm kinda slow at times. Once again, congrats to Buell and everyone in and around the race teams who made it happen. |

Us moto, yes 6! And one top 5, two (not counting the 5th palce) in the 25. Come on guys! Were gonna kill the this year, duct tape and all!!! Granted, those 600's fly, but they had $$$ and factory engineers who work for their respective co's and are one off "factory" parts. Come on cheating aint cheating unless you get caught. Any how, I goggled that sucide guy and he is dead now. His name was Larry, and his bike was a 2000 honda rc51. He got that way after he heard another v-twin pass him and couldn't keep up. Sorry dude, Buells rock. |

"No longer will a Buell owner have to recite the Company History." Well said. Out here in my neck of the woods I've had to do that at almost every stop where bikers hang out. I always get "what is that" or at the very most "is that the new Buell with the Rotax" I think that is going to change quickly. Gonna be a great year to be on a Buell. Thanks again Erik. |

I'm glad Buell is getting coverage, but it's like the Debutante Ball for your sister who needs a nose job... there needs to be an emergency podectomy. |

Usmoto:Unless I saw it different, he was way up there before the bodywork became a problem. Eslick was on the front row (started 2nd) he Led the first lap and many more, Eslick, Bostrom and Hayes were changing the lead many times per lap until the body work came loose. Eslick also had the 3rd fastest time during the race and was 0.1 faster than Bostroms best lap.} |

I just have to say this again. This bike and rider were amazing! After the pit stop to fix the bodywork, Eslick was in 68th place. I was watching live timing on line and it said he was 2 laps down. Granted there was a red flag stop and two safety cars bunching up the pack. Eslick’s times were faster than the leaders as he worked his way up to 13th position. Danny, Great ride! I love my 1125R!

ESlick is a DQ. Must have been for having the only common sense and grabing that tape and actually taking care of the problem. Sucks. When I saw the first guy come out, and hadn't even peeled the tape yet, I knew it was not going to be an efficient repair. Owell, he showed he will be competitive for the rest of the year. And I read that Bostrom and Hayes were just moonlighting for the Daytona 200, so maybe they aren't going to be in the Daytona Sportbike season, makes for better chances. |

that will cost him some championship points. too bad. Season is early. Eslick if fast and so is the Buell, so I think he'll make a run with or without BBoz and Hayes. Where are they going to race if not the AMA? Source? |

Yamaha's plan was to run Bostrom and Hayes in the Superbike class except for the Daytona 200, too much potential publicity to pass up. Looks like a smart move on their part. |

The release said he was DQ for passing under yellow flag. Any idea when that happened? I still have the race on the DVR, so maybe I'll go back and try to see if it was some time while he was up front somewhere. |

Zip ties and tape... Maybe someone like Eric with a K should have spent more time on body parts and pieces. Seriously, I was good to see the Rotax pumping out the hp! I could get used to hearing that exhaust note. |

Maybe someone like Eric with a K should have spent more time on body parts and pieces. You mean like the factory fairing that Shawn was running, which is different than the fairing (non-factory) Danny was using? } |

You mean like the factory fairing that Shawn was running, which is different than the fairing (non-factory) Danny was using? } Yeah, like that. It was just a crying shame. But I guess that's why they race them. |
