OK Zack I see how this works now....I have not had the pleasure of changing a belt on my XB as yet and after seeing the above pics....well it all makes sense now....you don't need to support the bike and drop the wheel....just loosen her up my "lights were on, but no one was home" |

heck, you dont HAVE to even loosen the axle if you dont have the tools. you can change an xb with no belt guards on the side of the road in maybe 5 minutes. allen for the footpeg mount, allen for the piece in the swingarm and torx for the front sprocket cover is all you need. there is usually enough to put it on the front pulley and over the idler, then get the teeth started on the edge of the rear pulley and push it forwards. walks its self right on. the 1125 would be very similar |

Well shit!!! The final drive belt on my bike broke this morning. Had to park it and walk a few blocks the rest of the way to work. Bike to be towed to local dealer this afternoon and then my preferred dealer will come pick it up tomorrow. Stupid thing is that nobody stocks the belt. WTF?! Wishing I had a spare under my seat. |

Belt is still under the seat. It's been there for a month now, I'll give it one more. Got a 100 mile trip in the hills yesterday, everything else has pretty much been commuting. I'll start a new thread in a month when I put the tortured belt on. Z |

New thread in a few days. The belt has been under the seat for two months, Loretta's been ridden almost every day. Just passed 16,000 miles, day before yesterday. Going for a ride with some BWBers on Wed, belt change on Thursday. Zack |
