We're going to have a performance seminar at HDFR (our race team arm) on Saturday, 3/28/09 at 10am. It'll be a chance for everyone to meet and talk with the race team guys informally, and then have a sit-down to talk about road-ready performance stuff for your Buell, followed by a really good session about how to PROPERLY modify your Buell for a track day. If you think you'd like to come, send me a note and let me know. It's not an RSVP per se, but more so we can plan correctly for the size of the group. If we need to (hopefully!) we can move it to the large conference room upstairs as opposed to having it in the small(ish) race shop. But don't worry - either way, there'll be tours of the shop! |

MEOW! Well, I start @ Ft. Detrick in 2 weeks. Good bye 2 hr commute. Now I'll actually have time to do stuff and get back to our group, sorry for being MIA the past year+. I like the idea of using the CabO deal for the logo, guess I gotta get the dust off my sketch books and get back to working on the logo... I'll be fiddlin' with the "beast" this weekend, I'll let you know how things go. I tested the plug cables and they were within spec. |

Ras - be sure to test the cables while you're wiggling them. A partial short or open may test fine when it's at rest, but if it's moving around, getting rubbed, or being pinched/stretched, it could show up. Wiggle-test failures were always the worst when I was doing concert lighting for a living. Even if they didn't move, a change in temp could open the circuit... |

I hate to change the thread......but Ft Washington crew....where are we meeting next Saturday......and who plans on showing up? The last discussed choices were Ft Wash and Misha's in Alexandria off US 1. Preferences? |

I plan to be at Misha's also this Sat. for our meeting. I did a drive by and I think I know where it is. I'm hoping the weather will be better by Sat. I need a freakin' snowmobile to get around today down south. Brian |

I need a freakin' snowmobile to get around today down south. Must be nice. We got a pathetic little dusting here in Fredneck. I got onto the highway, and the whole way in I'm thinking "I shoulda ridden the Uly". Grrrr. |

Blublak the only one you missed is the Northern Mariana Islands. They are north of Australia The us has a bunch of unorganized territories but the above 4 are the main ones. The census does count them. |

A friend of mine spent several months in the Marianas on a work contract and about went bonkers from the boredom. It's definitely a little bit remote, and for some people the "tropical paradise" thing can wear off. Looks like this weekend is going to be nice! |

I found this article last night while doing some random searching on Buell. I would love to have one of these 3 wheelers. It would definitely turn some heads. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/carreviews/con vertibeandsportscars/4734497/Liberty-Ace-review.ht ml Checkout the photo gallery also. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/4786378/Three- wheelers-photo-gallery.html |

That thing is a riot! WAY more classy than some of the three-wheelers they're making today with Hayabusa engines. |

Also, I think I might take part in my first Patriot Guard event on Saturday. The young Captain Brian Bunting (very big in the news these days) from Potomac who was killed in Afghanistan is home, and his memorial is on Saturday. I want to honor these guys where I can, and this seems to be a very honorable way. It's also rare to be on a weekend when a bunch of us can easily get off work. Therefore, I may miss a MABO meeting in Old Town tomorrow morning. But if people are out on the roads on Sunday, email your itinerary! |

I was hoping I would be able to catch up with everyone this weekend , however ,work will prevail over the possibility of two wheeled happiness so it will probably be next month. |

Cross-posted from our sponsor page: It's been a loooong process, but I have finally prevailed. It will be in-fleet within a week or so (it's not tagged/insured yet), but we have a brand spankin' new 2009 XB12XT in our rental department. We don't have a rentals link on our Buell site just yet, but if you go to hdoffrederick.com and click the rentals logo, it will bring up information for the program. We're in the off-season until the end of the month, so our staffing at the rental computer is not constant just yet, but we do check emails at least once a day. rentals@hdoffrederick.com if you'd like pricing / availability information. I *think* we're going to use the VRSC price schedule, but again - I *just* got word that we're doing it and wanted to post it up ASAP. Full information to follow as I get it. |

Ratbuell, Is that the only Buell in the rental line up? On other news...Worked on the "Beast" yesterday and it's running great aside from oil leaking around several gaskets. We cleaned off all of the excess and I will be monitoring to see what exactly needs to be replaced. Gotta do an oil change and a slight idle adjustment but it's running almost like I remember it. |

Ras - yep, and it was pulling teeth to get that one approved. I don't hold my breath to EVER have one of the "sport" Buells...just getting the "touring" bike allowed is huge. It replaces our VRSC rental, which didn't do much at all last year (1200 miles). |

It replaces our VRSC rental, which didn't do much at all last year (1200 miles). I thought that was all it took to make a HD high mileage... Sorry, couldn't resist. I think of the 15 or so Harley owners I work with, combined, they might put the same mileage I do in a year. That is minus the one little dude on the Sporty, he actually does put on a 1000+ miles a month in season. |

Oh yeah, *owners* usually only put that much on. Our rentals typically average 12k-20k per season. Folks really like that "unlimited mileage" clause! |

Sorry to the Misha's crew...I wanted to be there. Can I get a recap? How long did you stay at Misha's? Where did you go from there? When/where did it all wrap up? Next time! |
