Hubris???? Don't they have a Bike rally there? HA! As far as the whole Uke's post thing, do we really want to catch them? I mean if our count is lower maybe they will think we are all working on our bikes to make them better... Ken |

Ouch.. that was mean.. Actually I was planning on doing some work on my bike today. Gotsome parts I want to polish and paint. Do a little customization.... It's good to have a heated garage.... |

Speaking of Hovercraft ... My dad had one for a few years on the Washington coast. Looked like fun. The one in the auction could be interesting, and it comes with a trailer of some sort. Opening bid is $100, but I don't have an account on liquidation.com (yet) so I can't ask any questions of the seller (State of Wisconsin) as to where it is located and if it will be available for pickup on a Satuday or a Sunday. There is also the deal of the 2-day rule on that site's regulations, and since this hovercraft has a two-day auction that starts next Monday and ends next Wednesday (a 2-day only sale) that means that someone will have to both pay for the item and pick it up by next Friday. Also there are no current pictures posted of it, and being stored in a dark garage means little if other stuff is piled on top of it and if the roof leaks. But it could be a good find and buy if the bidding doesn't get carried away. I'd just need a place to store it as I don't have space at my current place and won't have space at my new place after the NewYear. But still it seems like it might make for a fun toy or vehicle to have. But somehow I don't think anyone would have much success getting it approved for a Bonneville speedrun since they seem to like wheeled vehicles there, and since the don't like extreme disruption to the Salt Flats, which a hovercraft would surely disrupt to some extent. Anyway, comments? MikeJ (thread-theft in process, heh heh heh) |

Bomber, I'm to darn lazy to look up anything !! And I may be stupid, but what the heck does ethnic food have to do with a Jinx ???? Guess I better go get me some coffee to wake up !! Ken your probably right, we'll never catch Uke's so we can just stick to working on our Bike's !! Since my bike isn't in a heated garage, I guess I'll stick to drinking coffee and waiting on Spring !! CJM |

I'm going to watch the initial bidding once it starts, got my enrollment processing as I type. Worst case is the bids get too high. 2nd worst case is I/we wind up with a trailer, a Rotax engine, and a propeller to sell to some Ultralight people on e-bay. Best case is we have us a bit of fun on some frozen lakes this or next winter. I wonder if we can get a BattleTrax-on-Ice event going somehow, that would be different. Timewise school and work get in the way, but otherwise would be fun. |

Bomber.... You even softened the definition!!! You forgot the part about "wanton insolence or arrogance resulting from excessive pride or from passion." Yep, that pretty much describes the HOG and BRAG folks. LOL |
