I wish I recorded audio, towards the end you would hear a roll of quarters in my primary. I hope to get her back together for badness.

Interesting perspective. Much different from a bike mount. Gives the impression of multiple wheelies. Sorry 'bout the clutch.

I think our off road jaunts without the 9 primary conversion are bad for clutches. Mine will need to be replaced soon as well.

Yeah, but yours does not sound like a blender full of nickels. Maybe we need to a have a clutch replacement party. My Niner has been thru alot more crap. Maybe its time for the 9 swap.

The Iconix cam and deck come in @ about $33k. Mere mortals like most of us shudder at dropping a few hundred for a helmet cam - for $33K I could buy another bike and hire a dude to ride along behind me taking video. Man, I love the Army, but obviously it's not the line of work for being able to afford cool toys...

I am buying the stuff to do it as soon as I get paid on the 15th. I need a new clutch and a new rear tire. I was planning on tooling over to Chad's house to do it. I can do it by the book, but I always like to have someone helping/looking over my shoulder. I had thought about the 9 swap, but if I plan to sell it, it might not be a change someone else would want. If you can wait, we ought to have a clutch party. No sense in buying to pullers. I'll install a fatty meter mod while you wait.

ok, i have a "puller" somewhere in my shop. I was looking for it today. It is a universal puller from harbor freight I think I payed like 8 bucks for it. My brother used it on his X1. I go on the road Tuesday and I get back somewhere around the 22nd. Yall have fun!

"Man, I love the Army, but obviously it's not the line of work for being able to afford cool toys..." Who do you think I work for? Who do you think owns this Iconix? You just need the right Army job. (Message edited by barker on February 27, 2009)

We could just tape a couple of Mag-Lites to the front. They would probably work better than stock.

I was think'n one these might work better than stock: It also matches the color.

You just need the right Army job. Obviously not any of the ones I've ever seen! You're a civilian though, right?

Oh, ok. The civilian contractors that went to Iraq with us back in 2003 had all the best toys - satellite internet with videoconferencing, air conditioning, showers... Lucky bastards. But they usually shared with us, so they were alright. I'll stay in green though. I'll live vicariously through your posts.

Let me clarify - we didn't share showers with them, per se...
