We scream and beg for data, and when we get it, some of us do nothing but Bitch about it.

When was the last time you got a front row seat to the development process on a major component by a recognized industry leader?

The reason the we got the "raw" results was because...

WE ASKED FOR THEM!!!

AS SOON AS THEY WERE AVAILABLE!!!

I love you guys!

The whining and b*tching is getting old... If your not happy with the process, feel free to open your bank account and design, test and produce your own product

Paint_shaker,

Thanks for your "helpful" comment, but I don't have the desire to, as you say, open my bank account, design, test and produce my own product.

I would rather pay somebody about $1000.00 to do that for me, but I would expect more data and testing in the way Carbonbigfoot says he will do.

Just so you know. I don't ever remember bashing the Drummer, saying that it wouldn't produce decent numbers or that it isn't worth it. I did say I didn't care for the look of it on the bike and I did say on Feb.14th "Not trying to start a war, but about 24HP just for bolting on the pipe? Sorry, but I doubt it." in the original "Was it worth the wait" post.

By the way, that 24HP increase turned out not to be so accurate after some questioned it and it has already been explained.

I would expect the same info from any manufacturer if I were looking for more performance. I don't have a beef with Drummer products. That is, unless they don't do what they claim and that's why I'm looking for further testing no matter who it comes from.

I doubt you would hear the what you call "whining and bitching" if there were more data. Isn't that all some are asking for?

If you or others don't care about more data, that's great, but why get upset at some that do? If you don't like the comments and consider them "whining and bitching" then maybe you should stick with a thread that is not called the Drummer technical comments thread?

Looking forward to Carbonbigfoots testing.

Thanks again for your "helpful" comment.

Your opinion would be worth something if you actually contributed to the issue at hand. Can you tell what exactly your first post contributed?

heres some technical details....an 80 mile ride under all condotions of throttle input.... 50 degs of temp yielded 128.5 front and 110 rear afv....70 degs of temp yielded 121.5 front and 105 rear afv...80 degs of temp yielded 109.5 front and 100 rear afv...so my opinion is when temp changes so does the afv, thats what is supposed to happen....looks like the bike will compensate great for the Drummer and will be posting other results as time goes on....thanks Ds_tiger for the data....

That's cool. For some reason I was under the impression that the AFV's responded much slower that "real time". The ECM is smarter that I thought!

I was under the same impression. My rear AFV has been 94.5 for as long as I can remember. My front has bounced from high 70s to high 90s, mostly settling for mid-80s. I always thought that the front AFV moving after almost every ride was a problem? It has been an ongoing issue between myself, the service dept and the BMC.

Even stranger when compared with those examples, mine is a rock steady 100 front and rear, and 105 front and rear with the airbox off. No bouncy with temp. Then again, the temperature doesn't move all that much here.

Are those real time while riding, or after stopped?

Numbers are after the ride.Same route 80 miles every time.

Only difference is the day and the temp conditions. Also after the outer airbox cover removal, initial ride out had the bike surge at rolling full/partial throttle at 120 - 130 mph. I assume the ECU has adapted to that because it no longer happens

i cant wait for this thing! from the pics and the info given this is/will be THE best exhaust out.. and im in no rush to change my pipe out right this min seeing i just got the bike. jw from what we know so far how does it compare to other exhausts out there? ie: jardine,hmf,d&d... i was told by my dealer that one of the pipe actually lost power.

That's interesting about the AFV's changing with Temperature. Now that you mention that, I think I can agree after seeing similar results on my bike. I have noticed that the AFVs go UP in Warmer air and DOWN in cooler air. This has, at least, been my observation on my bike the past few rides with temperature fluctuations.

Rockstar - The only time I personally heard it was in my closed 2 car garage (it was 20 degrees outside) with a pieced prototype and no clamps. It was loud with a kind of NASCAR hit. It reminded me of our Drummer SS but a bit more frantic due to the higher RPM ranges.

Here is a link to Buellgator's sound clip. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UtU_V3boFw
It kind of backs up what I said.

If you go to the TM thread they have a nice drive buy video where their pipe seems a bit quieter and might be a better choice for you. The videos aren't really "apples to apples" but its the best we have at the moment. Give it a few weeks and there may be some better data out there. Kevin's getting ready to ship the first production run of Drummer 1125 SS systems within the next week or so.

You have to love what they've done on the new Shelby GT500 . . added a corrugated strut from the engine compartment to the firewall to transmit engine sounds to the cockpit . . .acoustic insulation be damned!

Thats is moving quickly. Mine would not budge off of 100 F and 100R. Even when checking after riding in 30 deg weather and riding in 75 degree weather for several hundred miles. Could it be that the stock exhaust is so restrictive that there is not enough air movement to effect the AFV all that much? Or if it does it takes a long time within the same conditions for it to learn.

You have to give it to Shelby, the things he does to cars have to WORK, first and foremost.

Heard about the Shelby "noise transmitter" a few weeks ago. Although I think it is a neat idea, it reminded me of a kids plastic car that you put a battery in to make "realistic" sound.

Hey, if it gives the owner what he wants then thats good.

Sorry to get off topic.

Xbswede, was talking to Buellgator about the numbers he got from the dyno and this stuff. We both figure that might be the cause.
