They are like these on site: http://www.jardineproducts.com/products/sfID1/28/s fID2/5/sfID3/48 Pics to follow, and mounted on my bike..Props and many thanks to Jardine for working with me/our dealership and Buell for Exhausts, tuning(Mark Dobeck of Dobeck performance) and acc. Its powdercoated black(or raw?), $65 retail! and Made in the USA, CNC machined. WOW! Simple and nice with holes to put on easy. It has no little light included, since you dont need it and the light coming out of the rear stop light is enough. Believe me. http://www.jardineproducts.com/products/searchType /vehicleSearch/year/2008/make/BUELL/model/1125R/sf ID1/28/sfID2/8/sfID3/9 |

I mounted the prototype in powdercoat black today and its pretty nice and easy without any instructions. I will post pictures of the license plate kit by itself and on bike, etc. |

Rob, some of the other units are apparently allowing increased spray and debris off the rear tire, as reported by other BadWeB members. Can you report on that as well for the Jardine unit? Thanks. |

Hey Mark no more than usual spray with not being in the rain but only runoff. I will know more in time but thats the price you pay to eliminate that long rear license plate holder. Here is your little bit of spray....lol. I'll take it! (Message edited by racerxusa on February 26, 2009) |

They should have designed this so the plate was lower and the signals were closer. On the plus side, the fitment of the base plate looks awesome. |

Gentlemen, Just so you are aware: The license plate must have a "white" light shining on it to be legal. Most officers will not notice or care. If they are looking for a reason to stop you, you have just given it to them. |

Just cut out the underside of the tail light like the XB's had. Simple fix. |

I can verify , it was his excuse to pull me over . Sweating over the fact it was the pipe, noooo we discussed design technics of my plate re-locator and how the clear lens was not effectively shining on my plate due to the angle. I kept my pokerface and discussed the different lighted plate bolts on the market. Wheeew, I'm just glad we didn't cross paths 10 miles earlier where there would have been a discussion of my rate of speed. |

Yes, the XBlight will work great with this item. The plate happens to be in the right spot for the downward facing white LEDS of the XBlight. Maybe that's why it's placed there? Or just coincidence? |

I talked about the little light on some other models with Jardine, but R&D said you dont really need it with the red tailight giving off enough light(plus like you said you can cut a notch since its the same lens as Firebolt/and lower price of $65)..I do know some police and showed it to them and they dont see it being a problem and I'm here in SoCal with all the laws....Thanks. Like all things of this nature, if you get a rookie cop or just one with a hard on for you....you are getting stopped. Plain and simple. |

So it looks like there is only one screw that holds this assembly to the bike. Is that correct? Does it pivot around that screw, or bounce up and down at the rear end (where the plate is)? In other words, how secure is the fit? Also, if you have a postal scale it would be nice to know the weight as compared to the stock setup. If you in fact are not a postal clerk or drug dealer, does it feel more/less/same as the stock piece? |

Just from handling the stocker and the Tail Tidy from the UK, I would say from appearances the Jardine tail tidy has to be on the order of 1/2 the weight of the stocker. The UK tail tidy seemed to be a bit lighter than the stocker, but basically the same. Substantially more material in the UK version vs. the Jardine, IMO. |

Also, if you have a postal scale it would be nice to know the weight as compared to the stock setup. If you in fact are not a postal clerk or drug dealer, does it feel more/less/same as the stock piece? Not sure how funny anyone else thought this was, but I gotta say I did in fact laugh out loud. I also have no postal scale, but will throw out that my home brew chop, though much smaller, weighs about the same as the stock unit. The plastic used for the stock piece is very light compared with heavy gauge metal. Anyone know what type of metal is used by the Jardine unit? |

It looks like it will work with my lights internal license plate LEDs just fine, providing a small cutout is made. Seems like a nice kit! But I'm kinda partial to the one Trojan has. But hell, I have no 1125! So I can't say much one way or the other. :-) -Robert www.xblights.com |

The plastic used for the stock piece is very light compared with heavy gauge metal. Aren't all these pieces made from aluminum? I was surprised at how light the UK Tail Tidy is and also surprised at how heavy the stock tailpiece is. The stocker is reinforced from the bottom. All in all, I would call the weight between the UK tail tidy and the stocker a draw. |

First the Jardine supersport fender kit is lighter than stock and has all the holes for turn signals(take a look at the pics again) ...I'll have someone postal weigh it!...LOL..yah i got it... 2nd it does not move with the one screw as it sits flush in the undertail. I had no info/instructions and was confused at first how it mounted then looked again as it was made to be simple with the 3 holes for one middle srew and 2 outside holes for turn signal wires/grommets I used from original tailpiece. No movement, but like anything, check your bolts/screws and loctite. Its suppose to be CNC machined/welded aluminum I believe but this is a prototype and I will know more when they will be available soon. Cant complain for $65 and most of all its made in US nearby to me in Corona,CA like the exhaust. Like I say buy what you like and need. I will buy US first, then European and then the rest maybe. Its like buying a Buell(Function and form). I did get this kit for free, but would not hesitate buying one made here for that price and it looks good, works/fits well with easy install. I rest my case. Buy one..(I will be forwarding comments and feedback to Jardine for improvements or suggestions on this and other products). Rob Buell Specialist |

Rob, Your efforts in working with aftermarket suppliers for the 1125R/CR are much appreciated. Keep up the good work. Jardine is impressing me. For some reason there are not a lot of (big name) companies making stuff for the 1125's. Jardine seems to be stepping up to the plate. |

Thanks Drake and to all. I will let Jardine and many other's such as K&N,American Sport Bike,Precision Engineering and many others your appreciation/feedback. I have just had the fortunate disposition to move out to california with racing supermoto/mx,etc. and fall into a great position that opened last May 2008 as the Buell Specialist in Riverside, CA and then bought a Buell 09 1125CR because it impressed me more this time and it was made in the USA.(after years of owning Japanese inline 4's and some nice Euro bikes such as KTM I still ride/race). The Socal area with all the aftermarket companies here already and my initiative/background in contacting them for testing new product with our dealer's demo bikes and mine worked out well. Thanks again and I look forward to more testing, feedback, suggestions and new products with Buell motorcycles. Rob Kreiner Buell Specialist |
