Anybody recognize this buell? I found it on CL in my area he wants 3500. Has Tstorm head supertrap exhaust and a crappy intake claims 81 hp. Its got a chain conversion and pm wheels. Cracked paint i guess on the fender and tail

cracked paint is reffering to the paint job! LOL j/k. ya, those hyperchargers are SHIT! I'd rip that off as soon as I got it. |

hyperchargers are fine, if they are set up right, it is these uninformed comments that continue this crap thinking! the dyno has proven it! as long as it is the pro version, it breathes just as good as most others, and better in some parts of the curve. dig out the battle2win mag and see for yourself. if you don't like the looks, fine, i can understand that. but they do work!! every time one is mentioned on here the parrots start squawkin'!!! tired of it!!! |

Sorry Sleez, I've heard AND seen otherwise. I have personally witnessed multiple Harleys not gain more than 1-2rwhp from a hypercharger on the dyno (going from a stock ac to a hypercharger)... or am I missing something here. |

problem usually is they use the "regular" hypercharger. the pro is 1 inch wider, using a 1 inch taller k-n filter, breathes immensely better! when reg did the dyno tests in battle2win, he even made note that they sent him a "ringer", the dyno run showed the hypercharger made more torque and hp than some of the others in certain areas of the curve. i loaned my copies to a friend and can't quote them right now, but someone here must have a copy handy???? it wasn't the best all around, and it didn't make the best peak of hp or torque, but was an improvement over most, even the sidewinder as i remember. it is what made me go and buy the pro kit to add to mine. i am not in the majority in liking the styling on a buell, but i always have. it looks great on a black S3. i will see if i can get my copy of battle2win and i'll post the numbers, it will surprise quite a few people. then again, maybe my old brain remembers what i want to believe...i'll double check, and if i'm wrong, i'll apologize publicly. no harm, no foul, it just struck a nerve, and i've held my tongue too long!! |

I've got one too. Hope your right. I've never had mine on a dyno but it sure seems to run great with the aftermarket jet kit in my CV carb. I like the way it looks. |

Doesn't the Hyper Charger work better when the bike is moving (see forced air intake) to make the HP and Torque improvements. On a Dyno it just sits there. So how can you really prove it works much better on the Dyno. As the bike moves faster the air going in to the carb is pressurized which should increase the air/fuel volume. Anyway that's how I think it works. |

by the way...back to the point of his question!!!1 by the bike, you can always re paint it and to get the bike whole and running for 3500 is a good deal, no great but not gettin beat at all. and pm wheels are hard to find!! |

wouldnt 81 horsepower be a little on the low side with the heads pipe and intake? I thought stock s1s got about that? |

1 its a super crap and 2 it may not be jetted correctly. take the discs out or get an open end cap and turn it into a force! |

here we go again, now ragging the supertrapp...again, if it is set up correctly, it works great! back to the question at hand...looks like an ok deal to me. tune and tweak and be happy for years. |

and by the way, you DO NOT want to take discs out of a trap, add more, should be about 20 or more plus an open end cap, it will be awesome! |

+1 on the open end cap And on the intake, I would stick with the force winder if it is recommended and used by NRHS then that's what im going to use. |
