Hi guys,

I've just ordered a 1125R and I'll be taking delivery early March. I had a brief flirtation with an XB12 3 or 4 years ago and loved the handling but found the power a little lacking. Having just sold an 08 BMW K1200S I fancied something a little different - hence the Buell.

I'm hoping for some advice on a few basic extras - exhaust, crash mushrooms, tank protector etc. What are the preferred manufacturers and suppliers? Ideally in the UK of course.

Are there any other "must have" options I need to consider?

Many thanks.

Go talk to Matt.

http://www.trojan-horse.co.uk/

Exhaust, there are options, but it depends on what you want & how much you want to spend.

Crash mushrooms - ? - assuming you mean sliders. Matt carries them from Dark Horse Moto I believe, so you should be covered there.

Check out his site & go from there and welcome to the madness.

Hmm, take a look at American Sport Bike, you know that one that has the banner on a page or two ;+}

Al and Joanne know Buells and live them.

American Sport Bike, Dark Horse Moto, Precision Engineering, JT&S, GrandStandDesigns, and a whole lot of other sponsors. Go check them out. They're here in the US.

If you never have, spend some time 'cruising' the sponsor links. You might be pleasantly surprised with what you can find. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/171 43/17143.html?1235583212

M33UFO,
Take a look at the seat retention system from American Sportbike. It is the best $20 I have spent on the 1125R.

M33ufo, get yourself to www.ukbeg.com and sign yourself up - there are a few UK owners on there.
