has anyone ever tried to put the lower plastic off an x-1 to fit an s-3?im talking about the lower cover for the shock and muffler.

As I've stated before, I'm no expert, but I believe all the mounting points are the same. You'll need the mounting hardware from an X1 though. Good luck and post pics when done!

Talk to Al at American Sport Bike. He has the hardware kit you need to do the install. I'm doing one on my S3 to match my X1.

I had one on my S3T when I bought it but took it off. I'm assuming it is from an X1 if the S3 did not come with one. I liked the look of the exposed bits better.
