I went back down to Smoky Mountain yesterday where I have test rode the 1125R and love it. Now I'm trying to work out the numbers, they have five 08 1125R in stock so they are willing to deal on them. They said they would sell it to me for $9500 plus doc fee and tax. I just want to see if that's a good deal, I feel like it is just looking for input. |

Bigphil - that seems pretty high. There are all sorts of dealers offering them at 7995. A friend of mine in Austin bought one this week for just over 8 grand plus tax/title/license. There are tons of '08s leftover so just shop around. Good luck. John |

$9500 is a good deal. I wouldn't feel bad about that at all. |

That seems like a good deal to me... I live in Michigan and I paid $12,000 including tax, title, registration back in June. Wish I would of waited but once you drive an 1125r its pretty much impossible to wait. |

Jump on it, in my opinion. It's winter and the economy isn't good. Dealers who were holding out for no discount in the summer months want to move bikes now. That's $2500 off the original MSRP, right? Although there may be some guys selling cheaper, you would have to travel, and I always buy local if the dealer seems reasonable, because I want a relationship for service and parts. Be loyal to them and they'll take care of you. And the new 1125R's are going up in price. $9500 is a great price for a handmade American liter bike. I mean really, if someone offered you a Ford GT40 for the same price as a Nissan GTR, wouldn't you grab it? I have to get rid of a couple of things, and then I am getting one, and I hope they are still at $9500 then, but if not I don't care. I want one!. |

thats not bad a few dealers around here still have them at 11..... i just got home from signing all my papers and i got it for 8600 out the door with tax fees and title. i would still buy it for 9.5 and stay local. my dealer is great and the service tech bob really knows his stuff! |

I picked mine up for 9.5. I would go for it. Couldn't be happier. |

$9.5 sure is better than MSRP. If you want the bike & you plan on using the same dealer for all your service/maintenance needs, then I'd say that's a pretty good deal. Let's you both be 'happy' on the purchase. |

Sounds like a good deal to me. I bought one of the $7995ers and had it shipped from FL to TX, with the money I saved I bought the 5 year warranty. $9,500 OTD is a fair price. (Message edited by hellgate on February 22, 2009) |

I think $9500.00 plus doc fee & tax is too much, but if you think it's good, that's what matters. It probably sounds good to many who paid MSRP or close to it. (Message edited by dentguy on February 21, 2009) |

my dealer is great and the service tech bob really knows his stuff! That is an important point. Haven't we all bought some electronic or computer gadget from a discount store, had trouble with it only to find out that the folks at the discount store does not know squat and can't help? In that case, your excitement about what you bought went to aggravation. Negotiate a good deal from a dealer that will help you post purchase. You'll be more confident in what you buy. |

I think anything below 10K is great. I paid 11+ for mine in Aug 08. Biggest negative of my deal was that I was very "upside down" on my trade. No complaints, great bike. Second Buell, definitely not the last. |

Seems like a fair price to me. Dealer has to make SOME money to pay the staff and keep the lights on, and they can't be making much on that deal. |

I would jump on that deal. Seems like the 08's are drying up most places. Since the fuel MAP change the 08's are as great as the 09's. Plus you want to buy from a dealer you trust. |

Ok, I went to my local dealer in Corpus Christi, TX HD-Buell. I talked to Kevin, the Sales Manager, they had 5 new "08" 1125r's, man they look sweet. He said he will match or beat anybody's price. Give him a call,361-854-3146 and tell him Rey sent you. They have sponsored me in a few events, they've been alot of help, their good people. } |
